The Sinking Ship (Story)!

There were three ships which were nearby when the Titanic sunk.

One of them was known as the Sampson. It was 7 miles away from the Titanic and they saw the white flares signaling danger, but because the crew had been hunting seals illegally and didn't want to be caught, they turned and went the opposite direction away from the Titanic. This ship represents us and people like us if we are so busy looking inward at our own sin and lives that we can't recognize when someone else is in need.

The next ship was the Californian. This ship was only 14 miles away from the Titanic, but they were surrounded by ice fields and the captain looked out and saw the white flares, but because the conditions weren't favorable and it was dark, he decided to go back to bed and wait until morning. The crew tried to convince themselves that nothing was happening. This ship represents those of us who say I can't do anything now. The conditions aren't right for it and so we wait until conditions are perfect before going out.

The last ship was the Carpathia. This ship was actually headed in a southern direction 58 miles away from the Titanic when they heard the distress cries over the radio. The captain of this ship knelt down, prayed to God for direction and then turned the ship around and went full steam ahead through the ice fields. This was the ship that saved the 705 survivors of the Titanic.

When the captain looked back at the ice fields they had come through, he said Someone else hands must have been at the helm of this ship! This ship represents those who would pray to God for direction and then go without hesitation.

Becoming Stronger..

"How many times have you waited for someone to reply to the message you wrote - and yet didn't receive it?

How many times have you dressed up for someone, waiting to hear from them that you’re beautiful?

How many times have you waited for someone’s call, so that they make you feel happy?

How many times have you waited for someone to appreciate the work you’re doing, so it’s easier for you to continue doing it?

With the reply that never came, the compliment you didn’t hear, the phone call that wasn’t intended, and the appreciation that was held back – you and I, we lost our self-worth.

Since kindergarten, we began to associate our self-worth with the golden stars our teachers gave us.

By middle school, this turned into how popular people thought we were and by college, we were living on the compliments we received, and the number of people who praised us.

And till today, we think that our worth is determined by the way others perceive us. Thus, we want our friends to give joy to us, we want our partners to constantly praise us, we want to be noticed, and we want to be appreciated.

Slowly, and gradually, this will harm us. Seeking approval and validation from others will change into a permanent, life-long struggle if we don’t start believing in ourselves.

Stand in front of the mirror and look at yourself – carefully. Speak to your reflection.

Tell your reflection you are beautiful, you are strong. Tell your reflection that you appreciate yourself, that you love yourself, that you want to make yourself happy. Tell your reflection that you’ll be there for yourself.

Because, sooner or later, you will realize that there is no one who will always be there for you, there is no one but You ! 🌹

There's a lesson to be learned in everything you experience.
"On every thorn, delightful wisdom grows. In every rill a sweet instruction flows."

Everything you undergo teaches you a lesson. The question is: Do you have the courage to discover what lesson was taught? Are you brave enough to make use of the wisdom you gained?

Life can be really tough, especially in times of coping with setbacks and failures. But I know from experience: everything that happens teaches a lesson – whether you like the lesson or not. Often, it took me months to let go of the (ego-based) grief, self-pity, and anger about what had happened. But once that work was done it gave way to a reflective approach to discovering the valuable insights and wisdom that were taught.

Remember that this process takes a lot of time. Wise lessons might not immediately catch your attention, but they will come as very profound realizations once you are ready to comprehend them. With the insight that time provides, you will be able to accept the situation and be courageous enough to let go of anger and bitterness. Only then, with an impartial point of view, profound but wise lessons can be drawn from the things that happened to you, hence increasing your knowledge about the important wisdom about life.

How to stay motivated ?

In the jungle which animal is the biggest ........

I heard you say, Elephant.

In the jungle which animal is the tallest ........

I heard you say, Giraffe.

In the jungle which animal is the wisest ........

I heard you say, Fox.

In the jungle which animal is the fastest ........

I heard you say, Cheetahs.

Among all these wonderful qualities mentioned, where is the Lion in the picture.?

Yet, you say the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.!!

Why??

Because...

The Lion is courageous,

The Lion is very bold,

The Lion is always ready to face any challenges, any barrier that crosses his path, no matter how big/bad they are.!!

The Lion walks with confidence. The Lion dares anything and is never afraid. The Lion believes he is unstoppable. The Lion is a risk taker. The Lion believes any animal is food for him. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a try and never lets it slip from his hands. The Lion has charisma.!!

So...

- What is it that we get to learn from the Lion ??

• You don't need to be the fastest.

• You don't need to be the wisest.

• You don't need to be the smartest.

• You don't need to be the most brilliant.

• You don't need to be generally accepted to achieve your dreams and be great in life.!!

• All you need is *courage*

• All you need is *boldness*

• All you need is the will to try.

• All you need is the faith to believe it is possible.

• All you need is to believe in yourself, that *you can* do it.!!

It's TIME to bring out the Lion in you..!!

Stay motivated.

"Face the terrible, face it boldly"

Enrich your mind, unleash your potential. Success begins within us.

It is believed that life is constantly testing us for our level of commitments, and life’s greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent. As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.

All our past failures and frustrations were actually laying the foundation for the understandings that have created the new level of living we shall now enjoy.

The path to success and happiness is to take massive, determined action.

It is not about what we get but about who we become. What we contribute in, how we deal with various circumstances, how we behave and respond to others on the surface, give deep meanings to our lives.

There was a Jewish man named Yankel, who had a bakery, in a town, Crown Heights, Germany. He always said, "You know why I’m alive today?"

He said "I was a kid, just a teenager at the time in Germany.

Nazis were killing Jews with no mercy.

We were on the train being taken to Auschwitz by Nazis. Night came and it was deathly cold in that compartment.

The Germans left us on the side of the tracks overnight, sometimes for days, without any food. There were no blankets to keep us warm. Snow was falling everywhere. Cold winds were hitting our cheeks, every second. We were hundreds of people in that terribly cold night. No food. No water. No shelter. No blankets ".

"The blood in our bodies started freezing. It was becoming ice.

Beside me, there was a beloved elderly Jewish man from my hometown. He was shivering from head to toe, and looked

terrible. So I wrapped my arms around him to warm him up.

I hugged him tightly to give him some heat. I rubbed his arms, his legs, his face, his neck. I begged him to try to be alive.

I encouraged him.

All night long, I kept this man warm this way.

I was tired, and freezing cold myself. My fingers were numb, but I didn’t stop rubbing heat into that old man’s body.

Hours and hours went by. Finally, morning came and the sun began

to shine. I looked around to see the other people.

To my horror, all I could see were frozen bodies. All I could hear was deathly silence.

Nobody else in that cabin were alive. That freezing night killed them all.

They died from the cold. Only two people survived: the old man and me.

The old man survived because I kept him warm... and I survived because I was warming him.

May I tell you the secret to survival in this world?

When you warm other people’s hearts, you will remain warm yourself.

When you support, encourage and inspire others, then you will discover support, encouragement and inspiration in your own life as well.

My friends, That is the secret to a happy life."

If you waste time, you waste life. Time is ticking, don’t waste your life - literally. Do things that truly matter to you.

Change what you can, accept what you cannot. This may sound discouraging, but it’s actually liberating. Since you can’t control everything, working on the right things is all you have to do.

You’re living in the real world, not a fantasy land. The real world is far from ideal. Be bold, be practical.

You could be heavily disadvantaged. You could be born in a poor family or born with disability. Maybe your hard-earned money was cheated. But don’t ever give up. Be resilient and keep moving.

Blaming kills you. When you blame your government, parents and friends for your current situation, you don’t solve anything. Instead, you become bitter and get killed from the inside.

You are responsible for all your emotions. Good or bad, emotions are generated by you, not radiated to you by the external circumstances. Master your emotions.

Most people don’t care about you. They’re more concerned about their lives than yours, and that’s perfectly normal.

Love could harm you. Many people are actually harmed, rather than nourished by love. Many harmful actions are done under the name of love.

Your parents are getting older. They can’t protect you anymore. it’s your turn to protect them now. Grow up.

You may lose health. It’s tempting to sacrifice health for wealth. That’s putting the cart before the horse. Don’t make the mistake - health always comes first.

You are going to die. This is a fact, not a curse. Appreciate the person in front of your mirror and live your life to the fullest.

The 11 points above were initially hard to accept. But once you did,you became stronger.

🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘The Elephant Rope (Belief)🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘

A gentleman was walking through an elephant camp, and he spotted that the elephants weren’t being kept in cages or held by the use of chains. All that was holding them back from escaping the camp, was a small piece of rope tied to one of their legs.

As the man gazed upon the elephants, he was completely confused as to why the elephants didn’t just use their strength to break the rope and escape the camp. They could easily have done so, but instead they didn’t try to at all.

Curious and wanting to know the answer, he asked a trainer nearby why the elephants were just standing there and never tried to escape.

🐘The trainer replied;

“WHEN THEY ARE VERY YOUNG AND MUCH SMALLER WE USE THE SAME SIZE ROPE TO TIE THEM AND, AT THAT AGE, IT’S ENOUGH TO HOLD THEM. AS THEY GROW UP, THEY ARE CONDITIONED TO BELIEVE THEY CANNOT BREAK AWAY. THEY BELIEVE THE ROPE CAN STILL HOLD THEM, SO THEY NEVER TRY TO BREAK FREE.”

🍂🍃The only reason that the elephants weren’t breaking free and escaping from the camp was because over time they adopted the belief that it wasn’t possible.

🎋🎋🎋Moral of the story: No matter how much the world tries to hold you back, always continue with the belief that what you want to achieve is possible. Believing you can become successful is the most important step in actually achieving it.

It Is The Little Things That Make A Big Difference
There was a man taking a morning walk at the beach. He saw that along with the morning tide came hundreds of starfish and when the tide receded, they were left behind and with the morning sun rays, they would die. The tide was fresh and the starfish were alive. The man took a few steps, picked one and threw it into the water. He did that repeatedly. Right behind him there was another person who couldn't understand what this man was doing. He caught up with him and asked, "What are you doing? There are hundreds of starfish. How many can you help? What difference does it make?" This man did not reply, took two more steps, picked up another one, threw it into the water, and said, "It makes a difference to this one."

What difference are we making? Big or small, it does not matter. If everyone made a small difference, we'd end up with a big difference, wouldn't we , FRIENDS???

A popular speaker started off a seminar by holding up a $20 bill. A crowd of 200 had gathered to hear him speak. He asked, “Who would like this $20 bill?”

200 hands went up.

He said, “I am going to give this $20 to one of you but first, let me do this.” He crumpled the bill up.

He then asked, “Who still wants it?”

All 200 hands were still raised.

“Well,” he replied, “What if I do this?” Then he dropped the bill on the ground and stomped on it with his shoes.

He picked it up, and showed it to the crowd. The bill was all crumpled and dirty.

“Now who still wants it?”

All the hands still went up.

“My friends, I have just showed you a very important lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20. Many times in our lives, life crumples us and grinds us into the dirt. We make bad decisions or deal with poor circumstances. We feel worthless. But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value. You are special – Don’t ever forget it!

There once was a very wealthy and curious king. This king had a huge boulder placed in the middle of a road. Then he hid nearby to see if anyone would try to remove the gigantic rock from the road.

The first people to pass by were some of the king’s wealthiest merchants and courtiers. Rather than moving it, they simply walked around it. A few loudly blamed the King for not maintaining the roads. Not one of them tried to move the boulder.

Finally, a peasant came along. His arms were full of vegetables. When he got near the boulder, rather than simply walking around it as the others had, the peasant put down his load and tried to move the stone to the side of the road. It took a lot of effort but he finally succeeded.

The peasant gathered up his load and was ready to go on his way when he saw a purse lying in the road where the boulder had been. The peasant opened the purse. The purse was stuffed full of gold coins and a note from the king. The king’s note said the purse’s gold was a reward for moving the boulder from the road.

The king showed the peasant what many of us never understand: every obstacle presents an opportunity to improve our condition.

Essentially, happiness can be divided into 3 categories:
1.) Physical happiness;
2.) Mental happiness;
3.) Spiritual happiness.
In order for us to fill our lives with these three types of happiness, we first must learn the steps to achieve them. The following is a brief summary of these steps.

1. For Physical Happiness:
a. Regular and proper diet.
b. Regular and proper rest.
c. Regular and proper exercise.

2. For Mental Happiness:
a. Minimize expectation.
b. Minimize ego/pride.
c. Minimize negative thoughts.

3. For Spiritual Happiness:
a. Recognize your soul (as a separate entity from the body).
Past : Do not live in the past. ( Free yourself of past memories and experiences.)
Future: Do not worry about the future. ( But, plan for the future.)
Present: Free yourself of any attachments and hatred
b. Help all living beings without any expectations.
c. Meditate regularly and surrender to the Supreme Soul.

As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realize that wearing a $300 or a $30.00 watch - - they both tell the same time. Whether we carry a $300 or a $30.00 wallet/handbag - - the amount of money inside is the same. Whether the house we live in is 300 or 3000 sq. ft. - - loneliness is the same. Whether you drive a $8,000 Honda or a $80,000 Merc --they both serve the same purpose. You will realize, your true inner happiness does not come from the MATERIAL things of this world.
Therefore, I hope you realize, when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sung songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth - - That is true happiness!!

If you are going to develop maximum levels of self-confidence and success, you need to give up the phrase “I can’t” and all of its cousins, such as “I wish I were able to.”
The words “I can’t” disempower you.
They actually make you physically weaker when you say them. Your brain is designed to solve any problem and reach any goal that you give it, and the words you think and say affect your brain and body.
To undo your past conditioning and move towards a future of confidence and success, you must take responsibility for removing the words “I can’t” from your vocabulary, and replacing them with the words “I can” and “I will.”

*Mathematical differences:*
2+5=7. 8-1=7. 7x1=7. 7/1=7.
And so on

*What is my point??*

*My point is that there are so many ways of getting to your final destination.*

*GOD may not take you through the same way He took your mom, dad, friend or colleague.*

*What matters is that He will take you to your destination if you don't give up.*

*At times, you get there by adding things and people in your life.*

*Other times you will get there by subtracting certain things and people from your life.*

*Other times, you may need the multiplying effect of seed, information and relationships...*

*Other times, division and separation might be inevitable...*

*"Some of these may not be fun".*

*When 2 was alone it may not have been comfortable until 5 was added.*

*What matters is not the (addition, subtraction, multiplication or division)..*

*Yes, the process may differ. But the destination is still the same..*

*All things will work together for your good and expected end....Don't give up on the process!*

*You are a tool. Do not reject God when He adds and subtracts things.*

*Do not resist. And in the process learn to let go when He subtracts.*

*Stop crying, lamenting, and drowning in tears of pity and fear of moving on.*

*Every circumstance is building you for the castle God has prepared for you.*

*All things will work together for your good.....Head or tail you will win.*

*Don't give up on the process. Don't walk away from the game..*

*The match has already been decided in your favour*..

*Here is my conclusion and answer;*

*YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU PERSIST*

The text of a letter left after a suicide in 1970:
" i m going to the bridge,
On my way,
If I encounter even one person
who smiles at me
I won t jump."

Let' s smile to each other;
We could save a life.
