I get people are mad at things in the world, and I understand that's where a lotta feelings come from.
Feelings are always valid, but using those feelings to crash out at someone giving a lukewarm take you don't like is absolutely not, nor is it the fault of the person making the take.
Just like they do, I have my triggers — primarily people using misinformation to be cruel — but I never ever use them as a reason to attack someone. I'm always measured. Both because I know I have to be because that's the least-unsafe way to act, and because I know cruelty's catharsis isn't worth the hurt it causes.
But it's always my fault when someone else lashes out.
