Over four days it was attended by 17,000 people from 130 countries, and more than 900 agreements were signed for a total value of almost RUB 4 trillion.

The Institute has four branches all over the world, every one of them has a high-containment laboratory and a network of departments, which gather samples and transport strains.
Documents acquired during the special military operation prove the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research connection to the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency and its key contractor – the Metabiota company.
◽️ On Kharkov-based Institute of Experimental and Clinical Veterinary Medicine involvement in American UP-8 and P-444 programs
This involved studying the migration routes of migratory birds and selecting and transmitting strains of avian influenza virus with high epidemic potential and capable of crossing the interspecies barrier abroad.
The consequences of such programmes for epizootic in the territory of the Russian Federation are yet to be evaluated.
In the result of infected birds migration from Ukraine to Russia, avian influenza morbidity rate has increased significantly.

🔹As far as the content of the 11th sanctions "package" is concerned, the EU still seems to hold on to the idea of focusing on combating "circumvention" of the restrictions already in place. The explanation for this is that when the EU imposed its first sanctions against Russia, it was sure, for no apparent reason, that all third countries would automatically follow and give up trade and economic relations with us. Nothing of the kind happened.

🔹And then the EU started reflecting on how to make others join in on the anti-Russian restrictions. But European officials did not foresee that the inclusion of third country companies in the sanctions "package" would adversely affect not only European businesses (such thoughts had not occurred to them), but also relations with these states, which had made it clear to Brussels that such steps would not go unanswered.

💬 Sergey Lavrov: The West is fixated on the feeling of its irreparable confidence in its own rightness, the preservation of its hegemony on the international stage, and the introduction and spread of its own “rules,” which are undermining international law and are based on the premise that “it doesn’t matter whether it’s white or black so long as it suits me.” You can see this in various areas of international life, including in the Western attitude to integration organisations in the post-Soviet space.
We have just finished a 90-minute meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who put forth his views on global developments, which are in line with our actions and substantiate the further development of the #CSTO. The West views the CSTO, just like the #SCO and #BRICS, as a challenge to its domination on the international stage

🇷🇺🇨🇳 On June 20, the first Russian-Chinese consultations on biological security in an inter-agency format took place in Moscow .
An exchange of biological security threat assessments was carried out.
☝️ Particular attention was paid to the military and biological activities of the United States and strengthening the Biological and Toxin Weapons Convention (BTWC). The issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of biosecurity were discussed.
🤝 The meeting confirmed the unity of approaches of Russia and China to the biological security. The need for further close coordination and constructive interaction both in bilateral format and at relevant multilateral fora, primarily within the framework of the BTWC, the UN and the SCO was noted.
An exchange of biological security threat assessments was carried out.

📅 On June 19, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held the sixth meeting of the United Russia Party General Council Commission on International Cooperation and Support for Compatriots Abroad in Kaliningrad via videoconference.
The meeting covered issues linked with the implementation of the main provisions of the new Foreign Policy Concept of the Russian Federation and the role of party diplomacy in these efforts.
👉 The participants focused on developing dialogue with Eurasian, African and Latin American public and political associations that share our vision of the dynamic formation of a multipolar international order.
To implement the President-approved initiative of the United Russia to hold in Moscow in October 2023 a forum of campaigners against modern neocolonial practices, the participants planned to intensify joint efforts to create a broad anti-colonial coalition in cooperation with their foreign partners.
They also exchanged views on the project to establish a Club of Russia’s Friends – a platform designed to build trust among nations and promote the achievements of domestic technology, science and culture.

The convulsions that we are now witnessing, the agony to some extent, could last for many years. I see this as a historical era of transition to a multipolar world.
🔹 Statistics shows that one in every four countries in the world is under sanctions, primarily sanctions imposed by the US, Europe, and those who collaborate with them. Currently, there is a movement towards isolation from these risks in order to continue trading, investing, promoting economic ties, and creating joint ventures and logistics chains in such a way as to obviate dependence on the West-controlled structures and mechanisms. Objectively, this process is laying the foundation of multipolarity.

🤝 Servicemen of the Russian Dnepr Group of Forces units were among the first to come to the aid of the residents on the left bank of the Kherson region after the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched missile strikes on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant and destroyed the dam, which led to flooding of the adjacent settlements.
☣️ At the moment, units of the Group's radiation, chemical and biological defence troops have begun decontaminating the infrastructure facilities affected by the flooding. Servicemen have decontaminated about 30% of the territories in the settlements of Novaya Kakhovka, Golaya Pristan, and Alyoshki.
▫️ Disinfection is carried out with the help of special ARS-14KM vehicle dispersal stations using disinfectants, which have demonstrated high efficiency in preventing outbreaks of infections.

🗓 On June 15, 2023 the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation made a decision on scheduling the elections to the legislative bodies of the Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions.

On June 17, 2023 the official representative of the European Commission on foreign affairs and security policy P.Stano made a statement where he called the above mentioned decisions of CEC of Russia <...> as "another violation of international law".
☝️ We draw Mr. Stano's attention to the fact that it was the many years of violations of international humanitarian law with regard to the Russian-speaking inhabitants of Ukraine <...> that caused the population of a number of regions of the country to exercise their right to self-determination and choose their future within Russia.

The right of the population of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to self-determination was realized during the referendums on September 23-27, 2022, recognized both by the Russian side and numerous international observers, including citizens of the European Union.

❗️ As of today, the Donetsk People's Republic, the Lugansk People's Republic, and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions are subjects of the Russian Federation. Russian legislation is in force in the territories.

Every effort is being made to ensure that the inhabitants of Donbas, Zaporozhye and Kherson are able fully, freely and safely to exercise their electoral rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
We regard the statements by the representative of the European Commission as interference in Russia's internal affairs. We regret that he was not seen to be similarly "proactive" during the years of violations of the rights of Russian-speaking citizens in Ukraine.

Embassy comment on UK decision to expand the official aims of its unilateral anti-Russian sanctions regime
▪The aims of UK’s illegal actions, which run counter to the fundamental international legal norms, will also include inducing our country to pay some sort of ‘compensation’ to the Kiev regime.
▪The current update basically aims at making the anti-Russian sanctions indefinite.The prospect of ending the conflict, already drawing away by the intentional support of the AFU with British weapons, is no longer enough to cancel the restrictions.
▪From now on the criteria will be compensating Kiev and its Western creditors the costs of their undeclared hybrid war against Russia.
❗London is clearly trying to create the necessary conditions for seizing part of the Russian State assets currently frozen in the local jurisdiction.
☝️With a mere flick of the wrist “compensation” becomes confiscation, in other words – straightforward embezzlement of property.

Сегодня исполняется 82 года с начала Великой Отечественной войны
В День памяти и скорби дипломаты Посольства и российские соотечественники возложили цветы к Советскому военному мемориалу в Лондоне.
22 июня 1941 года началась битва советского народа за свободу и независимость страны. За пять лет войны погибли почти 27 миллионов жителей нашей Родины. Разрушено 1700 городов и поселков, более 70 тысяч сёл и деревень.
Ценой огромных усилий СССР выстоял и победил в Великой Отечественной войне. Была разгромлена человеконенавистническая идеология нацизма, осуждённая международным сообществом на Нюрнбергском трибунале.
В дань памяти жертв Великой Отечественной войны 22 июня по всей стране будут приспущены государственные флаги, а также объявлена минута молчания. По всему миру сегодня состоятся памятные акции и возложения цветов к могилам солдат Красной армии и советским военным мемориалам.
Чтим память наших великих предков!

🕯 June 22 marks the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow in Russia.
82 years ago, at 4 am, Nazi Germany perfidiously attacked the Soviet Union after a lengthy artillery barrage and without a declaration of war. Nazi forces launched attacks along the entire length of the Soviet border, from the Barents to the Black Sea.
This is how the Great Patriotic War began, opening one of the most tragic chapters in the history of our country.
Romania and Italy sided with Germany. Slovakia, Finland and Hungary joined them in several days later. The aggressors controlled the industrial potential and other resources of virtually all the continental European countries.
The bloodiest war in history lasted 1,418 days and nights and culminated in the Victory of the Soviet Union and its allies, and it entailed the complete defeat of Axis countries.
❗️ The Soviet Union accounted for 40 percent of wartime losses. Its casualties totalled 26.6 million war dead, including over 8.7 million killed in action. The Nazis deliberately exterminated 7.42 million people on the occupied territories.
#WeRemember how, after living through the war and despite certain disagreements, the nations of the world were united by a striving to prevent another monstrous conflict in the future and to avoid the mistakes of the past.
Unfortunately, Nazi ideology has proved resilient over the decades. They are using Nazi ideology once again for monstrous geopolitical experiments aimed at containing Russia. Collaborators who found refuge in the West after the war, Nazi criminals and their young followers are brandishing the banner of these ideas today.
🕯 The Candle of Remembrance memorial event has been held every June 22 since 2009. Everyone can honour the memory of the deceased with a moment of silence, light a candle and lay flowers at a military burial site or a Great Patriotic War monument.
