💬 Уважаемые коллеги,
Прямые переговоры с украинской стороной, организованные по инициативе Президента России, только что завершились.
В целом, мы удовлетворены результатом и готовы продолжать контакты.
О чём договорились:
1. Первое. В ближайшие дни произойдёт масштабный обмен пленными 1000 на 1000 человек.
2. Второе. Украинская сторона запросила прямые переговоры между руководителями государств. Мы приняли этот запрос к сведению.
3. И третье. Мы договорились о том, что каждая сторона представит своё видение возможного будущего прекращения огня. Пропишет это в деталях.
После того, как такое видение будет представлено, мы полагаем целесообразным, об этом тоже договорено, продолжить наши переговоры.

Key points:
• On June 14 President Vladimir Putin speaking at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs put forward the initiative to create a Eurasian security architecture. <…> It is an element of the long-term strategy of a strong power, which has always been a significant part of the Eurasian continent. This idea takes on a special role against the backdrop of the gradual formation of a multipolar world, as it is essentially designed to contribute to the development of this trend.
• After the disintegration of the USSR, Russia’s attempts to become part of the process of cooperation in the field of security were linked to Euro-Atlantic schemes. <...> The US and its allies in NATO did not intend to take Russia’s interests into account from the very beginning. They did not plan to fulfill the political commitments undertaken within the OSCE framework — to respect the principle of equal and indivisible security in the Euro-Atlantic region.
• It was NATO and the EU nations that destroyed the military-political dimension of the OSCE. The assurances given to the Soviet leadership about the non-expansion of the alliance eastward were effectively disavowed. From 1999 to 2024, seven waves of expansion took place, as a result of which the size of the military bloc doubled — from 16 to 32 states.
• Since recently, NATO has claimed a leading role not only in its traditional zone of responsibility but also throughout the entire Eurasia. As stated in the documents, threats to the alliance emanate from the Asia-Pacific region, therefore NATO intends to assert its military dominance in the east of Eurasia.
❗️ In the emerging multipolarity era, resolving security issues in the Eurasian space is of decisive importance for mitigating external threats to Russia and for maintaining global stability.
• The Russian initiative to establish an architecture of indivisible Eurasian security corresponds to the logic of the regionalization of international relations, serves the tasks of building a world order based on polycentric principles, and responds to the entire array of security challenges and threats along the perimeter and on the territory of the continent.
• This endeavor is based on the understanding of the need for states and multilateral structures of Eurasia to assume primary responsibility for their own security in accordance with the principle ‘Eurasian solutions to Eurasian problems’ without interference from outside.
• There is no all-inclusive multilateral organization in Eurasia which is the largest and the richest continent. However, a whole range of subregional structures operate on Eurasian soil — the Union State of Belarus and Russia, #CSTO, #CIS, #SCO, #ASEAN, #GCC, #CICA.
• Russia is not pushing an idea of creating an organization or political and military association. In the heterogeneous space of Eurasia, the architecture we are envisaging can only be integral — modular and intertwining simultaneously. <...> Russia proposes the prospect of developing a network, rather than a hierarchical system, without predetermining what it will come out in the end.
• The architecture of Eurasian security proposed by our country can only be inclusive. We are not talking just about some kind of ‘smaller Eurasia’ that would comprise Russia and its neighbors. All states located on the continent can join the dialogue.

✍️ President of Russia Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the Heads of State and Government taking part in the 34th Arab League Summit (May 17, 2025)
The message reads, in part:
“Your meeting is being held at a difficult time.
The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, which has claimed tens of thousands of civilian lives, has dramatically aggravated tensions and enhanced many social and economic problems in adjacent countries and throughout the #MiddleEast as a whole.
The role of the Arab League as an effective mechanism for multilateral dialogue and interaction is especially important in this situation.
For its part, Russia has consistently supported the collective political and diplomatic efforts taken by Arab countries within both the Arab League and in other formats to resolve current contradictions in the region.
We believe that all disputes should be settled on the basis of existing norms of international law and unwavering respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
We intend to continue to develop all-round constructive dialogue with the Arab League and friendly relations with all its members.
In this connection, I would like to invite the leaders of all Arab League states, as well as the Secretary-General of the Arab League, to the first Russian-Arab Summit, which we plan to hold on October 15.
I am confident that this meeting will help strengthen multifaceted mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries and also search for ways to bring about peace, security and stability in the Middle East and North Africa.”

🇷🇺🇺🇸📞 On May 17, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov & US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had a telephone conversation at the initiative of the US Side.
The Heads of foreign policy offices shared opinions on the outcomes of the Russian-Ukrainian talks held the previous day in Istanbul.
Marco Rubio welcomed the agreements reached on the exchange of prisoners of war and the intention of each side to prepare its own proposals outlining the conditions necessary for a ceasefire. He reaffirmed Washington’s readiness to continue supporting efforts towards a negotiated settlement.
Sergey Lavrov acknowledged the constructive role played by the United States in encouraging Kiev to finally accept President Vladimir Putin’s proposal to resume negotiations in Istanbul.
He reiterated Moscow’s willingness to continue working with US colleagues in this context.
The conversation also touched on a number of other international and regional issues. The sides exchanged views on the continuation of Russian-American contacts.

🚇 90 лет под землёй, но всегда на высоте!
Сегодня в честь 9️⃣0️⃣-летнего юбилея Московского метрополитена на станции «Комсомольская» стартовал Парад поездов.
🎼 Праздник начался с выступления академического хора метрополитена — звучали песни, прославляющие подземку.
В параде принимают участие восемь составов разных поколений: ретропоезда «Сокольники», «Номерной», «Точка шесть», «Русич», «Ока», «Баклажан», «Москва», «Москва-2020» и «Москва-2024». Всего восемь составов — восемь эпох — отправляются по Кольцевой линии в эти выходные каждые 30 минут с 09:00 до 20:00.
📅 Всё началось 15 мая 1935 года, когда первый состав прошёл от «Сокольников» до «Парка культуры». Почти за век линии метро не только протянулись через всю Москву, но и ушли за её пределы. Сегодня — это уже более 300 станций (у 9 из 10 жителей столицы есть станция в пешей доступности), 8,2 млн поездок в сутки и обязательный набор технологических решений для удобства пассажиров:
• зарядки USB и Type-C в вагонах
• двери шириной 1,6 метра и сквозные проходы
• оплата по биометрии, кольцам и браслетам
🎉 Сегодня поздравляем строителей, работников метрополитена и всех тех, кто каждый день делает московское метро лучше!
С днём рождения, дорогое Метро!

💬 Grigory Karasin: It is clear that Istanbul marked a crucial turning point.
Despite the camouflage sheen of certain Kiev negotiators and the traditionally cunning faces of the European masterminds constantly surrounding Zelensky, the talks in Türkiye should be regarded as a serious milestone on the path towards resolving the crisis in Ukraine.
The first face-to-face meeting between the two delegations after the three years of fierce military confrontation — despite all the Western propaganda tricks — has nonetheless opened the door to contacts and solutions on specific, sensitive issues.
👉 Credit should be given to the calm and confident manner in which the Russian delegation conducted the dialogue.
The POWs exchange and the agreement to continue negotiations are significant outcomes of a difficult and complex process.
Russia’s objectives remain unchanged and were clearly stated by the President in June 2024. There is a growing sense that these goals are now being perceived with greater clarity, both by Kiev and its handlers.

💬 Сегодня, когда российско-африканские отношения переживают новое возрождение после периода забвения, вызванного распадом СССР, проходят период качественной трансформации, создание новой структуры в МИД свидетельствует о безусловной приоритетности для нас данного направления, о долгосрочном выборе в пользу укрепления связей с Глобальным Югом, о внимании, которое руководство России уделяет Африке.
• Россию и Африку объединяют не только давние узы дружбы и сотрудничества, но и общность взглядов и интересов на современном этапе. Стремление к подлинному суверенитету, к справедливости, к более демократичному мироустройству, свободному от диктата и «двойных стандартов», основанному на уважении норм международного права во всей их совокупности, на равенстве государств, учёте интересов каждого народа, признании их самобытной культуры и традиций — неизменная константа российско-африканских отношений.
• Россия последовательно выступает за упрочение позиций континента в многополярном мире, поддерживает стремление африканских партнёров к получению постоянной «прописки» в Совете Безопасности ООН, настаивает на реформировании глобальных финансовых и торговых институтов, в том числе с учётом интересов стран Африки, приветствует успешное развитие интеграционных процессов на континенте.
• Растёт интерес африканских государств к #БРИКС. Сегодня полноправными членами объединения являются ЮАР, Египет и Эфиопия, а с января — в статусе государств-партнёров подключились Нигерия и Уганда. В период российского председательства в БРИКС в прошлом году мы последовательно продвигали общее видение справедливого многополярного миропорядка, основанного на уважении суверенитета всех государств.
• В Африке хорошо понимают первопричины украинского кризиса и роль Запада в его разжигании. Многие страны континента занимают независимую и принципиальную позицию невмешательства в конфликты за пределами своего региона, в том числе относительно специальной военной операции. Неприсоединение к санкциям против России является наглядной демонстрацией твёрдой суверенной позиции наших африканских партнёров, не поддавшихся давлению со стороны Запада, их выбора в пользу конструктивных отношений с Россией.
• Несмотря на создаваемые Западом всевозможные ограничения, наша страна ответственно выполняет свои международные обязательства в части поставок продовольствия и удобрений. Так, в 2024 году российский экспорт продукции АПК в страны Африки увеличился почти на 20%, превысив 7 млрд долл. США и охватив 45 государств континента.
• Отечественное образование продолжает сохранять высокий престиж и пользуется большим спросом среди африканцев, являясь своего рода знаком качества. Сегодня в наших вузах обучается свыше 32 тыс. африканских студентов, из которых более 8 тыс. — на бюджетной основе.
• Наглядным подтверждением нашего возвращения в Африку и масштабных планов по развитию отношений со странами континента является расширение сети российских диппредставительств. В 2024 году после более чем 30-летнего перерыва были вновь открыты посольства России в Буркина-Фасо и Экваториальной Гвинее. В текущем году возобновят свою деятельность дипмиссии нашей страны в Нигере и Сьерра-Леоне, а также впервые откроется посольство в Южном Судане. В планах на ближайшее будущее — учреждение диппредставительств в Гамбии, Либерии, Союзе Коморских Островов и Того.

🇷🇺 Посол по особым поручениям МИД России по преступлениям киевского режима Р.В.Мирошник:
⚡️За прошедшие сутки по гражданским объектам Белгородской области ВСУ выпустили более 80 беспилотников и более 100 боеприпасов.
Ранены двое мирных жителей в результате атак по гражданскому транспорту. Оба пострадавших, по данным губернатора в тяжёлом состоянии в больнице.

⚡️В Белгородской области украинский дрон атаковал гражданский автобус. Ранен водитель.
Нападение на гражданский транспорт произошло в городе Шебекино.
По данным губернатора, пострадавшего мужчину с ранениями в области живота и ног бойцы самообороны доставляют в Шебекинскую ЦРБ.

⚡️В Белгородской области украинский дрон атаковал гражданский автомобиль. Одна женщина погибла на месте, вторую с тяжёлыми ранениями везут в больницу.

⚡️ President of Russia Vladimir Putin’s statement to the media following a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump (May 19, 2025)
💬 Vladimir Putin: Good evening.
Our colleagues asked me to briefly comment on the outcome of my telephone conversation with the President of the United States.
This conversation has effectively taken place and lasted more than two hours. I would like to emphasise that it was both substantive and quite candid. Overall, I believe it was a very productive exchange.
First and foremost, I expressed my gratitude to the President of the United States for the support provided by the United States in facilitating the resumption of direct talks between Russia and Ukraine aimed at potentially reaching a peace agreement and resuming the talks which, as we know, were thwarted by the Ukrainian side in 2022.
The President of the United States shared his position on the cessation of hostilities and the prospects for a ceasefire. For my part, I noted that Russia also supports a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine crisis as well. What we need now is to identify the most effective ways towards achieving peace.
We agreed with the President of the United States that Russia would propose and is ready to engage with the Ukrainian side on drafting a memorandum regarding a potential future peace agreement. This would include outlining a range of provisions, such as the principles for settlement, the timeframe for a possible peace deal, and other matters, including a potential temporary ceasefire, should the necessary agreements be reached.
Contacts among participants of the Istanbul meeting and talks have resumed, which gives reason to believe that we are on the right track overall.
I would like to reiterate that the conversation was highly constructive, and I assess it positively.
The key issue, of course, is now for the Russian side and the Ukrainian side to show their firm commitment to peace and to forge a compromise that would be acceptable to all parties.
☝️ Notably, Russia’s position is clear. Eliminating the root causes of this crisis is what matters most to us.
Should any clarifications be necessary, Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov and my aide, Mr Yuri Ushakov, will provide further details on today’s telephone talks with President Trump.

❗️FAKE ACCUSATIONS MADE BY UKRAINE AGAINST RUSSIA
(2022-2025)
Since the beginning of the special military operation, Kiev, in order to construct an anti-Russian information agenda and incite Russophobic sentiments, both in Ukraine and in the international community, it pursues a consistent line of making fake accusations against Russia and resorts to carrying out targeted stagings and shifting responsibility for its own crimes onto our country. Below are the most striking examples of such provocations.
Destruction of the dam of the Kakhovskaya Hydroelectric Power
❌Fake: On 6 June 2023, Vladimir Zelensky posted a message on Telegram that read: "The destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant dam only confirms for the whole world that they [the Russians] must be expelled from every corner of Ukrainian land. Not a single meter should be left to them […]. It's only Ukraine's victory that will return security. And this victory will come. [They] will not be able to stop Ukraine with water, missiles or anything else. All services are working. I have convened the National Security and Defence Council."
✅Fact. In reality: On June 6, 2023, as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which had been going on for a long time, the valves of the Kakhovskaya HPP dam were destroyed. This was done to forestall the offensive of Russian troops and take the opportunity to transfer units and materiel from the Kherson Oblast to the area of Ukraine's offensive. On 6 June, 2023, the Norwegian seismic research foundation NORSAR registered in the vicinity of the Kakhovskaya HPP signals suggesting that there had been a blast at exactly the
same time that the dam was destroyed.
The attack of the AFU resulted in the uncontrolled release of water from the Kakhovka water reservoir on the Dniepr river. 35 settlements and residential areas were flooded. As a result, 57 people died, 175 persons were hospitalised, and more than 23,000 houses in the Kherson Oblast were damaged. The Russian side was not interested in destroying the dam, since the water coming from the Kakhovka Reservoir was used in the cooling system of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, as well as for the water supply of Crimea.

The SSU claimed that the attack had been carried out with a Kh-101 cruise missile. According to the intelligence service, fragments of the rear part of the missile with a serial number and fragment of its tail fin were found at the site of the attack.
✅Fact. In reality: In her comment published on 9 July 2024, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova observed: "As has often been the case with the Ukrainian air defence system, its missiles veered off course and hit residential buildings and social facilities. The same happened this time. Many eyewitnesses and other sources have already confirmed that a Western-made NASAMS surface-to-air missile hit a building of the Okhmatdet Hospital for Children in Kiev.
Officials on Bankovaya Street immediately started blaming Russia for deliberately killing children. However, no one said that the Artyom Plant is located next to the affected clinic, and that Defence Ministry buildings and military warehouses are also located next door. Certainly, no one said that pro-Bandera supporters are deliberately deploying air defence systems in residential areas, using civilians as a "human shield".

💬 Уважаемые коллеги, несколько дополнительных слов о состоявшемся телефонном разговоре между Президентом России Владимиром Путиным и Президентом США Дональдом Трампом.
Это уже третий разговор с момента прихода в Белый дом новой администрации. Он действительно был весьма продолжительным — более двух часов. Если совсем точно, то два часа пять минут. Это был откровенный и конструктивный разговор.
Любопытно, что начался он с того, что наш Президент поздравил Дональда Трампа с рождением уже одиннадцатого внука и пожелал здоровья новорождённому и дочери Трампа.
Беседа прошла во взаимоуважительном ключе — это отражает характер личных отношений, сложившихся между нашими лидерами. После этих тёплых слов Президенты сразу перешли к деловой повестке.
Наш Президент выразил признательность Трампу за личное внимание к украинскому урегулированию и искреннее стремление содействовать прекращению боевых действий и установлению прочного, долгосрочного мира. Со своей стороны мы отметили позитивную роль Президента США и представителей его администрации в том, что Киев вернулся за стол переговоров.
Что касается ключевых моментов по украинской теме, Президент уже подробно проинформировал журналистов, и здесь мне добавить особо нечего. Обсуждение было глубоким, с большим количеством нюансов, в том числе достаточно интересных.
☝️ Президенты обсудили и состояние двусторонних отношений. Оба выступили за их дальнейшую нормализацию, в том числе по линии спецслужб. Затрагивался вопрос обменов заключёнными — речь идёт о важной гуманитарной акции. Несколько таких уже состоялось за последние месяцы. Сейчас прорабатывается очередной обмен — 9 на 9 человек.
Также достаточно подробно говорили о будущем отношений. Президент Трамп высказывался эмоционально, подчёркивал, что выступает за взаимовыгодное сотрудничество с Россией, учитывая её роль в мире и в мировой экономике. Он особо отметил, что перспективы двусторонних отношений после урегулирования украинского конфликта выглядят, по его словам, «впечатляюще». Трамп заявил, что рассматривает Россию как одного из важнейших партнёров США в торгово-экономическом направлении.
Помимо двусторонней повестки, обсуждались и международные проблемы. Президент Путин приветствовал итоги недавнего турне Трампа по Ближнему Востоку — с 13 по 16 мая он посетил Саудовскую Аравию, Катар и ОАЭ. Мы считаем итоги этого турне впечатляющими. Также положительно была оценена работа американской администрации по стабилизации обстановки в горячих точках.
В этом контексте наш Президент отметил значимость переговорного процесса между Вашингтоном и Тегераном по иранской ядерной программе, запущенного при посредничестве Омана. Мы подчеркнули необходимость поиска взаимоприемлемых решений исключительно политико-дипломатическими методами — и Россия готова содействовать этому.
Что касается возможного саммита, оба Президента согласились, что такая встреча требует серьёзной и всесторонней подготовки. Нужно проработать задания для команд, содержание переговоров и возможные итоговые договорённости. Вопрос находится в проработке, конкретных решений и места пока нет.
И, что важно — в духе откровенного и дружеского разговора Дональд Трамп сказал: «Владимир, ты можешь в любой момент поднять трубку — я с удовольствием отвечу и переговорю».
Эта концовка, на мой взгляд, очень точно характеризует атмосферу всей беседы.

💬 It is deeply symbolic that this year our meeting is being held several days after the people of Russia and all progressive people in the world celebrated the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory. We remember that following in the path of the Holy Fire, the Eternal Flame burning in the Alexander Garden has been delivered to many cities across our Motherland.
I would like to use this occasion to congratulate everyone on both Easter Sunday and the anniversary of the Great Victory. Our country made a crucial contribution to the defeat of Nazi Germany and the liberation of Europe and the rest of the world from the Nazi plague. In the face of the deadly threat, our people rallied to wage an uncompromising struggle against the Nazi invaders.
The immortal deed of all Soviet peoples would have been unthinkable without the spiritual guidance of the clergy, who bravely endured the hardships of the war together with their flock. The Russian Orthodox Church collected funds for defence, extended moral assistance to our service personnel and civilians, including in the temporarily occupied territories, and strongly condemned traitors and collaborators in prayers and sermons. <...>
After the violent takeover of power in 2014, the Kiev clique has been destroying everything that is associated with Russia one way or another, including the Russian language and culture, Russian traditions and the Russian-language media. The Kiev regime has also been harassing canonical Orthodoxy, as we clearly see.
A tragic but clear example of its inhuman essence is the years-long harassment of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the largest confession in the country, which those who have seized power in Kiev have pushed towards the brink of legal termination. They continue to seize and vandalise churches and to attack the clergy and believers. <...>
❗️ Russia will not abandon the Orthodox faithful in Ukraine in their time of need and will ensure that their legitimate rights are respected, while canonical Orthodoxy regains its central place in the spiritual life of the people across Ukraine. <...>

🎞️Documentary "Selidovo: Crimes Unforgotten" by RT Doc
Before 2024, 'Azov' (a terrorist organisation, banned in Russia) neo-Nazi battalion units were stationed in Selidovo, a town in the Donetsk People's Republic.
When Russian troops entered the town, they were shocked to see bodies of civilians scattered throughout the streets.
People were tracked down and killed in their homes, shops, and even in hospitals. Executioners patrolled the streets, targeting passersby. Those who refused to evacuate to Ukraine were immediately labeled traitors and subjected to extermination.

В качестве приглашённого спикера в ней участвовал директор Департамента по многостороннему гуманитарному сотрудничеству и культурным связям МИД России, ответственный секретарь Комиссии Российской Федерации по делам ЮНЕСКО А.С.Алимов.

• В мире, где отменяется сама нормальность, Россия становится маяком этой нормальности и это привлекает к нам людей. Естественным результатом этого процесса стало принятие в августе прошлого года Указа Президента Российской Федерации № 702 «Об оказании гуманитарной поддержки лицам, разделяющим традиционные российские духовно-нравственные ценности».
• «Приключения» — название [сессии]. Главное, чтобы они не стали злоключениями. Нам нужно сделать так, чтобы этих «приключений» у иностранных граждан было как можно меньше. Это должны быть истории успеха и чёткий клиентский путь.
• Агентством стратегических инициатив подготовлена памятка для лиц, которые обращаются в российские загранучреждения. Она содержит общую информацию о нашей стане и определяет базовые шаги до переезда, во время него и по завершении.
