Important Update for Parents: Crucial Math Error Found in Study on Aluminum Safety in Vaccines

The Mitkus study, often cited to support that aluminum in vaccines is safe, contains a significant error. The study mistakenly calculated aluminum absorption using a rate of 0.78% from dietary intake, instead of the correct value of 0.1% established by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR).

As a result of this miscalculation, the FDA paper assumed that nearly 8 times more aluminum (0.78% ÷ 0.1%) could safely enter the bloodstream than what is actually considered safe. This led the authors to incorrectly conclude that aluminum exposure from vaccines is well below the safety limit, potentially underestimating the real risks.

Parents deserve accurate information to make informed decisions—this error raises serious concerns that need to be addressed.
