Help with django forms.

Hi, I need one suggestion from you all.
I made a multi step form the first one is for filling the perosnal info whereas the second step consists of you having upload files for verification of your entered data.

What I want to do is I want to store this data in first form in my database so incase the a user does not upload the files I still contact the user.

Also, I want this data to be present for the user if he wishes to come back and upload the docs. so that he doesn't have to fill this info in the first form again.

My approach is to ajaxify the form which prevents page refresh and so I can then use this info to store data in somewhere like cookies or sessions similar to what we did ecommerce project.

Is there any other approach you would like to share or am I on the right track? Please add your suggestions. Thank you.

Setting up Redis/Celery Worker with Flask app for production deployment

I intend on using gunicorn and nginx to deploy my flask app to production on a linux vm (Google Compute Engine). I am wondering if there is anything different I would have to do to configure celery and redis to work in production. To test locally I just run the redis broker and celery worker in separate terminal instances, and I suspect it works the same for deployment. Is this accurate or would I instead require additional setup?

User model's username max_length

Django newbie here.

I am building a blog app where my user model is the default User model in django.contrib.auth.models

Now, in the register form, I can supply long usernames for the User.
But I want to limit the length to around 10-15 characters.

How can I achieve this in the models itself? Or do I have to put conditions for the same while validating the register form?

How to sell a flask app to client?

Hello,

I've built a flask app and would like to interest a potential client with it. I've built and deployed it using EMR and other services offered by AWS. The central idea is to let the client hook up his database server connections to the app and let the app do the processing before writing it back to his database.

I was looking up for a solution for delivery but have not come up a solid understanding of different methods and so can't decide on one.

I've mulled helping the client set up the app in their local env but this would mean I hand over the code which is probably not in my future self best interests (is my presumption right?). I could instead deploy the app in AWS engaging its services and let the client use the app from my personal AWS VPN, but this might have security implications/concerns for the client. Is there a way I could convert the flask app into executable file which the user can install and manually configure settings for the app to engage the on-premises computational resources like Hadoop and Spark?

I'm just getting started with Flask and AWS so don't have much knowledge regarding the

Data simulation and sample size calculation in Python with interaction terms

Hi all,

I'd like to run simulations to calculate the sample size needed to identify a statistically significant interaction term in a mixed ANOVA (1 between subject IV, 1 within subject IV, and a continuous DV).

Does anyone know how to do this in Python? I've done a lot of googling and found solutions for models that do not include interaction terms (usually they're basic t-tests), but I'm not sure what to do when an interaction is the primary parameter of interest.

Flask and career .

So less than a year ago i started to learn flask , and i started with python 14 months ago or so.

I was learning daily most of the time after work , then i got fired from the law office , then corona came. But i also started to land my freelancing gigs.

My first freelancing app was quiet complex one and i managed to build it in flask , and client was actually asking for flask as an mandatory.

The following one i had it was more of linked in connection , the client has sort of dev background but he didnt ask for any language or framework . We are working on some taxing automation . So right now i work on 2 projects all together , but the second one is sort of e commerce with some "cms" features , and i did similar project as i was learning for my friends small business and it still serves him well.

But often i wonder is python in general the right thing for webstack ? All this java craze and php jobs are all over the place . I was quiet optimistic when i started to learn Vue.js and i

I wrote a script to monitor COVID cases in a specific country and send travel recommendation to WhatsApp (less than 50 lines of Python)

Hey,

So one of my friends wanted to go to Japan, but he was worried about the COVID situation. He was checking the [number of confirmed cases](https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html) daily to see when they start to go down. I decided to write a piece of Python code to automate it.

This is [the code](https://github.com/seamless-io/templates/tree/master/monitor_country_covid_status). It turned out to be less than 50 lines.

And this is [this blog post](https://medium.com/seamless-cloud/monitor-covid-cases-using-python-in-less-than-50-lines-of-code-810e9b7ab56c) with a more detailed explanation of the code.

Disclaimer: I'm the creator of one of the services mentioned in the blog post (https://www.seamlesscloud.io/). But the code is just Python so you can use it however you want.
