Remember how Biden, the Democrats, and all the legacy fake news media talking heads were touting the drop in crime under his administration?

Unsurprisingly, it was a lie...just as those of us paying attention have been shouting from the rooftops. And now the proof finally comes out.

Just after Joe took office, the FBI moved to a new crime reporting system, and just like magic, all the major Democrat-controlled cities (LA, Chicago, New York, etc.) all just stopped reporting their crime. The result of massive (and intentional) underreporting of crime was then used as "proof" that the crime rates had plummeted.

In fact, despite claims of a historic drop in crime, the rate in these urban centers actually rose 61% between 2019 and 2024.

Oregon is threatening to arrest, indict, and try federal agents if they deem actions taken by them "excessive".

The standard therefore boils down to what Oregon decides is what is and what isn't excessive.

Now consider that against the fact that their state law considers using tear gas on protesters being excessive.

See the problem?

The fact is that this isn't a good-faith attempt aimed at curbing brutality so much as it's a calculated escalation. The idea, and almost certainly the intention, would be to render federal police work in Oregon virtually impossible from an operational perspective.

All told, these liberal lunatics are probably dumb enough to try and pull this stunt...but they'd absolutely rue the day after the fact.

Personally, I triple-dog-dare them to try.

Newsom is simply grandstanding to beg praise from his base because they don't know any better, and it sounds good to them. It assuages their hurty feels. 😄

But this PR gimmick also, and intentionally, delivers red meat to a mass of already zombified woketardians - and I think that's the point.

Dems fuel their base using rage to their benefit. Even if it's wholly manufactured, it pays off in turning people out at the ballot box, showing up to protests/riots, and, as it were, directing their anger at ICE officers during apprehensions.

Oh, and the nightmare scenario of allowing individual states to impose their own uniform requirements for federal law enforcement officers.

The matter of any state telling the federal government what their agents can & can't would set a nasty precedent that would predictably lead to a mish-mash of state-specific demands. It'd be a nightmare.

C'mon, man.

BTW: The Supremacy Clause cements federal authority. This makes the matter non-debatable.
