In order to improve business performance, reduce unnecessary expenses, and on this basis, provide customers with higher quality and more cost-effective services.
DMIT has decided not to renew the data center and ISP contracts after the expiration of the SJC contract.
 
After the streamlining of operations, LAX T1 will disconnect from Cogent and interconnect with the top three T1 ISPs in the world to provide better interconnections.
DMIT plans to complete the construction of the LAX-TYO-HKG low latency intranet within this year to provide customers with lower latency Hong Kong-Japan-US intranet interconnection.
Based on the above, we have decided to gradually migrate all SJC T1 series services in your account to our LAX region starting February 10, 2025, at which time your SJC T1 will receive the following upgrades, adjustments, or remain partially unchanged:
- Higher performance server hardware with AMD EPYC 9654 CPUs.
- Higher specification package configuration, synchronized to the specification of the LAX T1 series package (based on the same name specification of the product you purchased).
- IP address will be changed, we will provide you with the new IP address after migration and inform you via email/work order.
- The renewal price of the Service and the included discounts will remain unchanged.
- If the transmission amount of the service includes an upgrade (e.g., double), the upgrade will be maintained at the same transmission amount as the LAX T1 Series products.
 
We will notify you of the details of the migration via email several times prior to the migration, and your service will be temporarily interrupted during the migration process, and we will complete the migration and restore your service as soon as possible.
 
Although it is highly unlikely that data will be lost during the migration process, we still ask that you back up your data before the migration.
The IP address of the service will be changed after the migration, in order to minimize the impact on you, please prepare in advance and update the configuration of the service as soon as we notify you.
 
In addition, we are very sorry for this migration operation, we still provide you with the following options as your compensation, these will be operated after the migration is completed.
1. If you wish a refund, we will.
- Compensate you with a 10% DMIT credit added to your DMIT account for the renewal price of your service.
- A refund is based on the remaining service value.
*You can choose between a refund to your DMIT account or the original method of payment (payment processing fees will be borne by DMIT).
*Due to payment gateway limitations, refunds will only be made to DMIT accounts for payments made over 6 months.
 
2. If you wish to continue using our services, we will.
- Compensate 50% of the remaining value of its services in DMIT credits added to your DMIT account (or 15 days' value if the compensation amount is calculated to be less than 15 days' value of its services).
- Request up to a 30% recurring discount on regular products (excluding any specials) in all regions, regardless of billing period, once per SJC T1 service held, depending on the product selected, as follows:
- Pro Series 20% recurring discount
- EB Series 25% recurring discount
- T1 Series 30% recurring discount
 
- Orders for the following special products may be requested (no other discounts may be utilized) and two services may be requested for each SJC T1 service held, annual billing cycle only.
