Una spigolatura, ma interessante: Fidel Castro era legato da una forte amicizia, nata negli anni Settanta, con Gabriel García Márquez e addirittura gli faceva da editor volontario per i manoscritti dei libri dello scrittore latinoamericano. Un occhio alla grammatica, un altro agli errori fattuali, il lavoro di un editor di casa editrice, insomma. Straordinariamente ben fatto, visti i risultati, c'è da aggiungere. Márquez invece critivaca le politiche e l'opera di Castro ma solo in privato.

Sto leggendo un paio di libri in questo periodo (mi piace leggere in parallelo: un romanzo e un saggi, di solito). Il saggio è scritto dal giornalista canadese David Sax (freelance che scrive per Vanity Fair e il New York Times, si è inventato non molto tempo fa il tema (e il libro) “Save the Deli”, per salvare i negozi di Delicatessen ebraiche che nelle città nordamericane stanno lasciando il posto ai Deli indiani o generici.
Beh, Sax secondo me ha azzeccato un tema interessante con il libro che sto leggendo. Si intitola “The Revenge of Analog: Real Things and Why They Matter” in inglese e l’ho preso in digitale su Kindle.

L’altro libro che sto leggendo è “Canale Mussolini” di Antonio Pennacchi. L’avevo intravisto sia su Limes, dove l’autore ha scritto molte cose su quel periodo storico, che nelle librerie, ma non mi aveva mai interessato eccessivamente. Adesso che cercavo qualcosa da leggere mi è capitato in mano, l’ho comprato (di carta) e devo dire che è molto bello. Consigliato se cercate qualcosa di particolare e “storico” da leggere. Un fiume in piena scritto davvero bene.

Ma già la lettera che mandò a casa raccontando la notte e il giorno dopo l'attacco vale la lettura. Era un altro modo di raccontare, ma che funziona sempre molto bene. Buona lettura!

E lui si fece comprare con NeXT soprattutto per la sua capacità di guida ma anche per la tecnologia del sistema operativo che divenne Mac OS X (attualmente macOS) basato su Unix.
