Foreigners will not preserve our history any more than they will preserve us. (This also applies to many people who are the products of miscegenation.) Our culture is ours. Others can love it but only we can preserve it. The same is true for our genetic profile.

This is a personal post and a request for help. I hate asking but it is now crucially necessary.
1) I need somewhere to do Millenniyule this year. I mean a physical location from which I can livestream the festival. If you have a spare room with electricity and Internet, please get in touch (millennialwoes@gmail.com). Otherwise I simply don't see how I can do it.
2) I need to drastically increase my income so that this doesn't happen again. The problem isn't the rent; I can afford that. The problem is that landlords now expect you to earn 3x the rent, and my monthly donations don't add up to anything like that much. They use agencies to check this, so I am having real difficulty securing a new home, even in rural Scotland. (Hence problem #1.)
The truth is, despite Millenniyule and despite working full-time on Substack essays which many people praise, I make very little money. Being banned from Paypal, Patreon, Donorbox, BuyMeACoffee and of course YouTube will have this result. I could bring back the Gram, but I only made about $20 from each episode. I could (probably) get a normal job, but then I wouldn't have the time or energy for my "movement work"; Millenniyule would certainly not be possible.
In short, projects and people need to be financially supported. I have been very shy about pushing this. Whenever I do, there are always some nasty people who make hay of it and claim I am grifting, lying, etc. As a result, I have "wangled it" for 7 years since losing Paypal and Patreon. I got by, but due to recent events (which I can't go into) it is now completely untenable.
I really don't know what I am going to do. If the situation were not desperate I would not be putting out a public call. Things have to improve - in a big way - otherwise I am going to have to drastically re-think what I am doing with my life. That is the reality now.
You can set up a recurring donation to me on Substack, SubscribeStar or Kofi. $5/month, if a lot of people did it, would add up fast.
Please also consider whether you - or someone you know - could help with problem #1.
I know that my essays are not for everybody, but so many people seem to value Millenniyule. If you do, now really would be the time to step up. Sorry to put it that way, but my situation is desperate.

Thank you to everyone who has chipped in since yesterday.
I was up the wall with stress, having come up against the realities of today's rental market in Britain. I have been insulated from those for a long time, so it has been an eye-opener. But, with that said...
Problem #1 has been solved. Several offers have come in of places to stream from in December. This means @Millenniyule can go ahead. Thank you. It's a fine example of the community pulling together to solve a problem, something I have always urged. Ironically, this chain of events is a nice reflection of what Millenniyule itself stands for: solidarity and conviviality among White people. Every other community does this, and we absolutely should have the same attitude.
Incidentally, some have asked why I need a specific place to do Millenniyule. I will explain in due course, but right now I can't. You will just have to trust me about this.
Problem #2, which is the long-term one, remains unsolved for now. Quite a few people have set up recurring donations, and it will help and I am very grateful to those people, but it will not add up to nearly enough to rent. It looks like this problem will just take a long time to solve. Until then I will probably have to move abroad where rents are more sane.
As I said, it's not that I can't pay the rent, but that I don't earn 3x as much. Furthermore, it hinges on your monthly earnings. Once upon a time it wasn't difficult to earn 3x your rent, but nowadays rents are sky-high in Britain. And of course we can thank immigration for that. This has really brought home to me (if that is quite the phrase) what the term "Yookay" means: they are turning us into battery hens in a multiracial, decultured hellscape.
I have been told I should be much more aggressive about soliciting donations and "hawking" my stuff. It doesn't come naturally to me - another reason I have tended to wait until disaster looms before doing it - but I will try.
In that spirit, I will repeat the avenues by which you can set up recurring donations: Kofi, SubscribeStar, and Substack. The latter means that each of my essays will be emailed to you, which might be annoying, but it also means you will have access to the paywalled ones.
Once again, thank you to everyone who has chipped in. I hope to have stability soon so that I can get all the work done for Millenniyule. It usually takes three months, but this year that is going to have to be truncated, so the end result probably won't be as "fancy" as usual. My apologies for that, but I really am doing my best.

Special mention should be made of the production design. This matters in sitcoms because they tend to be confined to a very few sets, therefore how those sets look is important. With Rising Damp the design is done particularly well, really creating the sense of a dilapidated house in an unremarkable town. Colin Piggott is to be commended for his work, but also the lighting guys who kept it gloomy.

Merz, Macron, and Starmer are all very similar, kind of boardroom nothing-people. They give the impression of being true believer liberals. They are unwavering in their vaguely emasculated nothingness.

Something I enjoy about Rising Damp is that, like the Overlook Hotel in The Shining, one can never quite get to grips with the house. It changes slightly each week because the sets were dismantled between episodes. Additionally, some storylines call for specific rooms that only appear once, so the house sometimes offers up some new corner of itself that we haven’t seen before. It’s a pleasure because the production design is so good, even with these “one-off” sets.

Leonard Rossiter was one of the best comic performers of Britain’s 20th Century, and working with Chappell he created a truly legendary character in Rigsby. But said leering landlord is so well-done that he can over-shadow everything else the show offers.

One must not forget the many guest actors who appear along the way, one or two in each episode. Even they are consistently well-chosen; the casting director, like that on Father Ted, seems to have had a Midas touch.

It doesn’t actually matter whether the people who perpetuate all of this truly “believe” in it. What matters is that they are prepared to behave as if they do. The incentives have taken on a life of their own, become self-perpetuating, making alternatives almost illegal and certainly a guarantor of “social death” and “professional death”. Even with all the evidence that diversity is bad, nobody in the professional classes will dare to speak against it.

With no location filming at all and virtually no straying from the core “situation”, Rising Damp demonstrates how good a “pure sitcom” can be. A minuscule budget can produce magic. You just need three walls, a decent production designer, a talented writer, and a small set of good performers.
