If you're interested in applying to the University of Michigan CSE Ph.D. program and working with me but are unable to pay the application fee, please email me with your application materials and I will respond and help if there is a good fit.

For applicants from Iran, we accept late and incomplete applications this year due to exceptional circumstances. No GREs are needed and for language proficiency, we accept TOEFL, IELTS, and more.

Note: I apologize if I'm unable to respond to each individual request. If you don't receive a response, that could be an indication that I may not be the best fit for your career and research interests, and I'd encourage you to contact other faculty in Michigan who may be a better fit for your goals. Several PhD positions in the CS Department at CU Boulder!
https://grad.apply.colorado.edu/apply/
We have several PhD positions in the Computer Science Department at CU Boulder. The tentative PhD topics are around formal verification and synthesis of AI-enabled cyber-physical systems (CPS). Apply before December 15 and assign me as the tentative advisor. Sorry for the short notice!

Here are a couple notes about what’s a bit unique in our offer letter that I would like to highlight.

* Your official offer letter is for at least five years, and we have always had all of our PhD students fully funded regardless of duration in the program.

* Your offer includes a $4000 fellowship awarded in your first year. This is intended to help you with moving and starting expenses (e.g., a laptop).

* A unique aspect of your offer and our program is that we award first-year PhD students travel support ($1000) to attend a top-tier conference. We strongly believe in getting you engaged in the research community right away, and this award is one way we support that.

* The pay scale for graduate assistants is standardized across CS (which is higher than most other departments). There are two levels as you progress through the degree program (before your thesis proposal and after your thesis proposal). 🇨🇦 PhD/MS positions, University of Manitoba, Canada

☑️ Neuroscience

Funded Graduate Student Positions at the University of Manitoba
Multiple graduate student positions (M.Sc., Ph.D.) are available in the laboratory of Dr. Tabrez Siddiqui at the University of Manitoba. The Siddiqui lab’s multidisciplinary research program encompasses the molecular, systems and behavioural branches of neuroscience to investigate neuronal circuit organization, plasticity and network integration. Our goals are to generate transformative knowledge on the molecular mechanisms of synapse development and function in both the developing and mature brain, provide conceptual advances in understanding the mechanisms governing enduring changes in synaptic properties (plasticity) that underlie cognitive function and associative learning, and determine how synapses are specified in the mammalian brain to provide the framework for understanding the molecular logic of circuit organization and associated behaviours. The Siddiqui lab is also actively pursuing translational goals in uncovering synaptic regulatory mechanisms and targets in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric disorders such as autism and schizophrenia.

Eligibility Requirements

Excellent academic standing
Strong work ethic and interest in discovery science
Experience or interest in using animal models
Research experience is an asset
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The positions are fully funded with standard stipends commensurate with the University of Manitoba guidelines and Departmental bylaws. Successful students will be admitted to the Physiology graduate program, but may be considered for the Biomedical Engineering program.

This search will close on January 20, 2023.

Please send the following the documents to Dr. Siddiqui by email

Cover letter explaining your background, interests, and training, and why you will be a good fit for the Siddiqui lab research program.
