Senior highload Java backend developer (Berlin, office)
A bit about the company:
App recommendation company dedicated to bringing the right apps to
the right people.An international team, vibrant and progressive startup in the middle of Europe ́s Silicon Valley, Berlin.
App portals across Europe and North America in ten languages and combine
great editorial content with the informative and wellfounded app
recommendations.
Responsibilities:
You will be building,
operating and scaling our ad serving systems and internal and external
management tools. You will be part of an international team working in a
dynamic and agile environment.Our services process tens of TBs of data and billions of events per day in real-time.
You will work closely with other software and data engineers to build the next
generation ad tech services. If you have a deep understanding of building highly scalable software in Java (or other languages), and like seeing your highly loaded services in production, you will fit right in.
Tech Details:
High-load back-end Java, current load is around 3mill request per hour.
The company is pretty good, they have strong engineers there, benefits are awesome, 20% time on own projects (like at Google). Great place for engineers.
Interview process:
1. Introduction Call with HR (30min, Skype)
2. Coding challenge (within 1 week)
3. Technical Interview with Team Lead (3060min, Skype or Onsite)
4. Office day: Team interviews, Tech test/Pair Programming, Team lunch,
Office tour etc. (In case you are not local, travel costs are covered for you)
Technical/Cultural Fit Interview with CTO

-Unit Testing with around 80% coverage
