FedEx Ground says they’ll deliver 7 days a week all year in 2020

To keep up with #US consumers' growing online shopping habits, #FedEx announced it is boosting its seven-day delivery service so that it happens all year long.

The change will launch in January 2020 and will affect a large portion of the country, the company said in a news release Opens a New Window. Thursday. The seven-days-a-week service was previously only available during the peak holiday season.

FedEx President and Chief Operating Officer Raj Subramaniam spoke about the company’s growth over time and the anticipation of an increase in shipments of small parcels in the U.S.
FedEx no longer will fly your Amazon packages — and now pressure is mounting on the company as it gears up its in-house air freight network

#FedEx delivered 3% of #Amazon packages last year, according to Wolfe Research. That's about 200,000 Amazon boxes a day of FedEx's daily volume of about 2.9 million packages, Moody's Investors Service estimated.

But on Friday, the #TN freight giant announced that it won't renew its contract to fly packages for the indomitable e-commerce site.
