3. Увеличивайте свой словарный запас
Чем больше ваш лексический запас, тем легче вы будете воспринимать речь на слух. Вы не сможете понимать носителей, пока не обзаведетесь приличным «багажом» слов. Особое внимание уделите разговорной лексике, всевозможным сокращениям, а также междометиям. Как это ни странно, но незнание простейших Eh, Oh, Uh, Um может запутать вас: вы подумаете, что это часть незнакомого слова и потеряете нить повествования.
Не забывайте изучать идиомы и сленговые выражения, они часто используются в разговорном английском. Особенно популярны они у молодежи, так что если желаете смотреть сериал или слушать песню любимого исполнителя, интересуйтесь не только «классикой», но и современной лексикой.
4. Развивайте грамматические навыки
Не удивляйтесь, знание грамматики тоже играет немаловажную роль в снятии слухового барьера. Не нужно зубрить наизусть все правила, но разницу между “What do you do?” и “What are you doing?” надо понимать.

New Supersonic Plane 🗞
At the Dubai Airshow, American company Boom revealed its plans for a supersonic jet. By the end of 2023, you could fly from London to New York in just three hours.
One ticket would cost as much as a standard business class ticket, the company says. With new materials and engines, the company says that it can fly supersonic for 75 per cent less than the Concord.
Difficult words: reveal (show people for the first time), supersonic jet (a plane which can move faster than sound), engine (a machine which moves a car/plane/train forward), Concord (a plane that was supersonic and was extremely expensive to buy a ticket).
