Good news: I still haven't locked myself out of the dev desktop.

Good news: the nix shell actually works! I was able to install new git!

Bad news: somehow chroot brakes ssh command execution, i.e. ssh dev-desktop works, but ssh dev-desktop "echo 1" hangs. This is a problem because vscode ssh uses this :(

Any ideas why the last thing can be?

K, so.

The problem was that I was re-executing fish in a chroot, which basically blocked initialization of the shell before ssh's command (echo 1) got executed.

The fix is to check status is-interactive and enter chroot only if it is.

Оказывается credentials helper использует sudo, которое не работает в чруте...

"обожаю" шеллы. казалось бы простая задача "соеденить и форварднуть argv и stdin в nc" совершенно не гуглиться и непонятно как её делать.

казалось бы можно сделать echo $argv (cat -), но cat - почему-то преобразует переводы строк в пробелы 😐

В итоге сделал

echo -e $argv "\n" (string join "\n" (cat -))

какая же это ужасная гора костылей...

а как по английски говорят "костыль" (в смысле в котором его программисты используют)?

Сегодня провести стрим не получиться, у меня внезапно появились неотложные дела :(

Поэтому стрим переносится на завтра, простите :(
