Proto-Vortex reminder

Each day, Proto-Vortex continues to show us how ideas move from early thoughts into structured decisions. As the process unfolds, it is worth taking a moment to remind everyone how proposals flow and where we currently stand.

At the moment, there are two proposals in the Deliberation Ready phase, and one proposal has already passed. This is exactly what this proof-of-concept phase is meant to surface: real proposals, real discussion, and real learning.

For anyone new, or for those thinking about submitting a proposal, the process follows three simple phases.

The flow is simple:

Draft → Deliberation Ready → Voting Ready

• Draft is for early feedback. Feel the room. Test the idea.
• Deliberation Ready is where governors engage, question, and challenge.
• Voting Ready is the soft-lock. Voting happens. ⅔ approval passes.

If a proposal doesn’t pass, that’s not failure. It freezes until the context meaningfully changes. No spam. No reruns. Learn, refine, come back stronger.

You can browse existing proposals, see how they evolved, and use them as references for your own. That’s part of the process.

Proto-Vortex is ongoing, and proposals can be submitted at any time. All draft proposals are currently created and discussed in the ⁠proto-vortex-rules channel on Discord.
We’re genuinely happy to see proposals already moving through deliberation, and we expect more to come.

Small heads-up: Proto-Vortex will eventually move from Discord to the Vortex website. Discord is the proving ground. The website is where this is headed.

In the meantime, the system is working.
Ideas are flowing. Proposals are live. Happy proposing.

This week, we’re joined by Rich Robinson, Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Animoca Brands, known for building some of the most recognizable digital asset platforms in Web3, like The Sandbox, Moca Network, and Open Campus.

They’ve backed over 600 Web3 projects and helped shape what digital ownership looks like from user-owned worlds to institutional-grade assets.

Rich has spent decades building and mentoring in Asia’s startup scene, and somehow also found time for stand-up comedy, cycling across Africa, and writing children’s books.

We’ll talk about what it means to build for humans in a world of digital ownership, assets, and AI and whatever else comes up when you put Humanode and Animoca in the same room.

This Friday, we’re hosting a community call to begin something we’ve been working toward for a long time: the launch of Proto Vortex.

At the heart of it is the idea of the Humanode Charter: a shared foundation for what this network stands for and how it grows. We’ll be discussing the values, principles, and responsibilities that can guide Humanode as it enters its next stage.

This is a call to everyone who’s been part of this journey so far, and to those just joining in, to help shape the core of what we’re building together.

The whole Humanode team will be there, ready to share, to listen, and to work through it alongside the community.

If you are a human node (Humanode validator), this will be the opportunity to learn about how Humanode governance will be launched, and how you will play a role.
