Elon Musks Tesla Company held an Event last night showcasing the future of Robotics..

Self-driving buses, cars, and the highlight of the evening… Humanoid Robots… named ‘Optimus’.

Oddly enough, the event was called “We, Robot”…

Has anyone seen the film “I, Robot”?
Yes; it’s exactly like that…

Elon says these Humanoid robots will probably cost somewhere between $20,000 to $30,000 in the near future.

These humanoid robots can, Elons words… can do anything you want
• teach or babysit your kids
• clean
• walk you dog
• mow your lawn
• get the groceries
• serve you drinks
• be your friend

🔴 MY THOUGHTS:

I can’t be the only one who sees that AI over the last few years has been pushed upon the masses, a forced conversation…

Even Donald Trump is emphasizing it so much more now… and the outputs of energy required to power AI into the future. So at the very least, Trump is embracing it.

What concerns me is what Elon says at the 2:05 mark… re: the risks of Super Digital Intelligence.
—— there’s an 80% probability Super Intelligence will be good.”

Maybe it’s just me, but Nothing should ever be released upon the masses that is not 100% certain that product won’t destroy the world.

I almost feel like The Terminator and the Matrix were documentaries, sent back from the future to warn us. lol

It’s clear that these humanoid robots have the potential to replace many jobs that are repetitious in nature.

Prior to the pandemic, I may have been amazed by all of this and felt we were about to enter experience a cool future. I’d have been open to it.

But since the pandemic, we’ve witnessed some terrifying scenarios where the end goal for these evil people is complete domination and control over our lives. Even if Elons intentions are good.. and he’s a good person, that doesn’t mean the next person to take over the company or a rival company won’t have evil intentions.

I just think this is horrible timing given the times we find ourselves living in...

Regardless, it appears there’s nothing anyone can do. It’s coming.. the best we can hope are extreme measures taken to ensure these things do not cause harm.

Maybe the Three Laws of Robotics… oh wait, we know how that turned out..
