In the latest update to Google News (;D), version 3.53, Google started to redesign the bottom navigation bar, which is now taller, has a slight hue to it, and features a pill shape that indicates which tab you’re on, a distinct trait of Material You. It does not yet respect the Android 12 theme color, indicating that the Material You aspects of this redesign are still early in development. This change is not rolled out yet.

The Accessibility API has often been used by malicious apps to access sensitive information on a user's screen. Now Google will limit the use of this API if the app is not originally intended to help people with disabilities, or has not received approval from Google Play. 🇬🇧 Android 12 QPR3 will make it much easier to find the Pixel Battery widget
Previously, the Battery widget was found under “Settings Services” in that main list with the same gear icon as “Settings”. But now it has been placed under the "Battery" section, adding a corresponding icon with a lightning bolt. Probably QPR3 beta 3 contains an updated Settings Services app, which made this change happen.

Now, When you sign into a website or app on your phone, you will simply unlock your phone, which will store a FIDO credential called a passkey which is used to unlock your online account. The passkey based on public key cryptography and is only shown to your online account when you unlock your phone. To sign into a website on your computer, you’ll be prompted to unlock your phone for access. Once you’ve done this, you can sign in by just unlocking your computer.

When log into a site with with a compromised password, you will see a dialog with big Assistant-branded "Change automatically" button. The feature doesn’t work on all sites, though. Google has yet to publish requirements for websites to support auto-change.
