🇬🇧 Google Photos has officially announced a more sortable library tab and a new "import photos" section.
The updated library tab, which we discovered earlier, is a grid, with the ability to sort by type (albums, shared albums, favorites, folders on the device). Under the grid, you can find all the other tools and a new section "Import photos", which allows you to upload images from other cloud storages and media to Google Photos.

We've shown this shortcut before, and now it's officially announced by Google. It will be located on the main page just below the memories, and will only appear when you make new screenshots. Also, when you open a screenshot, at the bottom there will be a new carousel with quick actions like searching in Google Lens, cropping and Markup.

The update will be available to Android users within a week, and soon on iOS.

As you probably all know, the icon signaling that vibration mode is on has disappeared from the status bar in Android 12.
Now, on one of the probably numerous reports on this topic on Issue Tracker Googler has reported that "issue has been fixed and it will be available in a future build." It is unclear if the fix will appear in next 12L patch or if the fix is intended for Android 13.
