With stock running low for months, the writing has been on the wall for this affordable Pixel from 2020. The Google Store today delisted the Pixel 4a.
Google did not stop selling the Pixel 4a after the Pixel 5a’s launch in August since the new phone was only ever sold in the United States and Japan. In the United States, the Pixel 4a product page remained available until earlier today even though it had been “Out of stock” for months. Google, however, did place a prominent “all-new Pixel 5a with 5G, only from Google” link.

🇬🇧 Alphabet reports Q4 2021 revenue of $75.3 billion
Revenue is up 32% from $56.9 billion in Q4 2020, with operating income at $21.9 billion and net income of $20.64 billion for this quarter. For comparison, Alphabet reported $65.1 billion in revenue and $18.94 billion in net income last quarter.
Alphabet today also announced an upcoming 20-for-1 stock split in July for Class A, B, and C shares.
In Q4 2021, YouTube ad revenue was $8.63 billion (versus $6.89 billion a year ago), while Cloud reported $5.54 billion (compared to $3.83 billion in Q4 2020).

It starts with the overflow menu to the right of the search field being replaced with your profile avatar and account picker, with app settings placed here.
Google has moved many of the items listed there to a nav drawer that features the app’s icon and name at the top. “Messages” is followed by “Starred,” “Archived,” and “Spam & blocked.” “Device pairing,” “Choose theme,” and “Mark all as read” come after the main app sections.
This upcoming "new" Google Messages UI is not rolled out yet.

As Google Italy notes in its announcement, the new phones will be available in the two countries in limited quantities. Due to the strong demand, the company expects the stock to sell out soon, with additional units only expected to arrive in May. So if you live in Italy or Spain and have been looking to buy the new Pixel phones for a while now, you should pull the trigger on them as soon as possible — none of the units are currently listed as out of stock.
Google is only selling limited SKUs of the phones — they are only available with 128GB storage in Carbon/Just Black color, with no other color or storage combination to be seen. The smaller Pixel is priced at €649, while the Pro is available for €899. There's no pre-order or launch day offers like those the company was handing out when it initially released the Pixel 6 series last year in other markets.

The company has removed the shadows between the red, yellow, and green in the outer ring, while also “refining the proportions and brightening the colors.” While using “flat colors,” Google did add a “subtle gradient to the main icon to mitigate” how an “unpleasant color vibration” exists between green and red.
Google’s other big aim with this icon is to support “OS-specific customizations.” Designer Elvin on Twitter explains that Google “want[s] the icons to feel recognizably Chrome, but also well crafted for each OS.”
