In the newest beta update to Google Messages, version 10.7, 9to5Google has found that Google may be preparing a more clever way of handling incoming iMessage reactions. According to a newly discovered preference (not yet live in the app), Google Messages should be able to intercept incoming iMessage reactions and instead show them as “emoji.”

The information in the sidebar on the left hasn't gone anywhere. Google moved it to the account switcher in the upper right corner.
It looks like the redesign is happening server-side. Although it can be accessed through the Korean (play.google.com/store/apps?gl=kr) or Taiwanese (play.google.com/store/games?gl=tw) Play Store.

From the renders we can highlight the Punch-hole cutout in the display, the camera design as in the PIxel 6, two rear cameras and the absence of 3.5 mm Jack (a first for the Pixel A-series). The phone will measure approximately 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7 mm (10.4 mm including the rear camera protrusion), and the display is 6.2 inches.

🇬🇧 Google has already slowly begun rolling out Messages’ ability to interpret iMessage reactions to its own reactions.
Reactions sent from an iPhone are correctly interpreted by Google Messages as reactions sent via RCS.
When you click on a response message, Google Messages will show that it has been "Translated from iPhone."
If the iPhone user changes the iMessage response, Google Messages changes the displayed emoji.
