Local consumer protection agencies, regulators, and representatives can be just as powerful as national ones, and they often listen more closely to their constituents (especially in an election year). New feature: you can now reach out directly to your EU Member of Parliament or US State Senator and consumer protection agencies from the regulators list at https://keepandroidopen.org/#consumers. Speak out now, before it is too late!
Yes, I could use archive.today (and its clones), but its behavior is WAY to sketchy at this point. See https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2026/02/wikipedia-bans-archive-today-after-site-executed-ddos-and-altered-web-captures/

Wikipedia blacklists Archive.today, starts removing 695,000 archive links
If DDoSing a blog wasn't bad enough, archive site also tampered with web snapshots.

I've identified industrial-scale copyright violations on my content by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, X, and more.
These companies created thousands of crawlers incorporating the text of all my blog posts, open source code, and books into their paid AI models to profit exorbitantly.

❌ No snooping on our messages ❌
The European Parliament is currently deciding its position on the proposed second extension of the ‘temporary’ interim ePrivacy derogation, also known as 'Chat Control 1.0'.
✊🏾 @edri, 39 organisations and several individual experts are urging members of the Parliament to reject any extension of the derogation.
It is vital that MEPs act now to rule out mass snooping on our private messages.

KDE supports the "Keep Android Open" campaign
#Google will cut off independent developers to #Android if they do not register with Google first. This will kill independent platforms like @fdroidorg@floss.social and severely impede FLOSS devs from creating apps for Android.
https://keepandroidopen.org/
Many KDE apps are deployed for Android: KDE Connect, Itinerary, Tokodon, and there's even a test version of Krita for Android.
KDE calls on Google to reverse course and @keepandroidopen@techhub.social.

This program doesn't do anything? It is just a bunch of markdown files and a wrapper for LLMs with shell access?
And you're telling me that developing "skills" for this piece of shit is just writing a markdown file with instructions on how to do a thing?
People are mass buying overpriced Mac Mini computers just to play with A COLLECTION OF MARKDOWN FILES?
AI bubble has reached peak insanity.

Are you telling me people are seriously using an LLM Agent to read their email inboxes that also has file system access including to its own config files that contain passwords and secrets? And there's no way to set it…

Just want to raise up the design of this “AI kill switch” in Firefox, and say how much I like it: it’s a top-level preference, and the design and content are both *very* clear in communicating the different levels at which you’re making decisions.
I would *love* to see more product companies roll out something like this for their en-LLM’d features.
