Admiral Anthony Radakin, born on 10.11.1965, is the Chief of Defense Staff of Great Britain since 2021. He was appointed to the post on the patronage of Boris Johnson, while the Defense Ministry did not support his candidacy.

Previously Anthony commanded the frigate Norfolk, as well as the infantry group of the U.S. Navy and Britain in Iraq in 2006, and in 2010 he commanded the joint task force of the U.S. and Britain in Iraq.

He participated in the ceremony of signing the agreement on military cooperation between Great Britain and Ukraine in Odessa on 21.06.2021, which implied the construction of a naval base in the Black Sea and 8 warships. He prepared the joint British-Ukrainian exercises Sea Breeze.

In 2023 Radakin held several meetings with Mr.Zaluzhny, commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Army, he met him secretly a few days ago on the Polish-Ukrainian border to discuss the failed counter-offensive in the Zaporizhie.
