๐Ÿ“Œ2. The renowned Johannes Kepler died in Germany on November 15, 1630. However, his grave was tragically destroyed in 1632 by the Swedish army during the tumultuous period of the Thirty Years' War.

๐Ÿ“Œ3. In 1808, a small temple was erected in the area where he was presumed to have been buried. However, this temple has absolutely no connection or resemblance to the tombstone in question.

It could be said that we are dealing with two completely different individuals, and the tombstone has no connection to Johannes Kepler (1571-1630).

Therefore we can question whether the anonymous person buried here (Joh Kepler) actually lived for 300 years?!

On the Moon

We have to make an excursion today, to have a look at a piece of South American mythology.

A Columbian tale goes:

"When the Moon did not yet exist, a bearded old man named Botschika taught the arts of agriculture, clothing, worship and politics to the people. His beautiful but malevolent wife was Huythaca. She caused a flood in which most people perished. Botschika then turned her into the Moon."

Interesting, isn't it? We can deduce at least two things from this tale:

1. The Moon wasn't always in a physical position like today.
2. At least a part of the South American folklore identifies the Moon as female.

Let's see what else can be found in mythology!

The half-man, half-goat satyr Marsyas at left, paid dearly for his arrogance in thinking he could rival a god. He found a flute and learned to play it so well that he challenged Apollo, the ancient Greek god of music, on the right, to a contest. The victorious god cut off the satyrโ€™s skin in punishment for his pride. The surprised look on Marsyasโ€™ face, in shadow, contrasts vividly with the calm and illuminated demeanor of the god who coolly slices the creatureโ€™s flesh.

It is no accident that the earthbound satyr stands before a tree, symbolic of the woodland, while the god is silhouetted against the sky. Bartolomeo Manfredi may have been a student of the Italian artist Caravaggio, from whom he adapted the close-up format of the picture and the keen attention to tactile surface qualities evident in Marsyasโ€™ fur loincloth.

Ecstasy of Saint Catherine of Siena, by Melchiorre Cafร , 1667, Santa Caterina da Siena a Monte Magnapoli, Rome

The marble relief showing the Ecstasy of St Catherine of Siena was made for the high altar of Santa Caterina da Siena a Monte Magnapoli in Rome, and it's one of the most representative works of the Maltese sculptor Melchiorre Cafร , 1636-1667, considered one of the highest exponents of Roman Baroque. In this relief Cafร  isolated the white marble relief against a background of various coloured marbles to achieve a strongly painterly effect: as the almost free-standing figure of the saint, elevated ecstatically on clouds, seems to float out of the framed, brightly coloured background, the traditional boundaries between the genres of painting and sculpture are suspended.

The saint is represented according to Berninian elements interpreted by Cafร , such as the highlight of the luminous and dynamic effects. Saint Catherine is depicted in ecstasy, with her hands crossed toward her heart; each limb of the sign creeps to participate in the breeze of air and light. Standing above it a cloud surrounded by cherubim while in the background - articulating the composition - which becomes thinner inward and emerges en masse towards the observer, a symphony of polychromic materials: lapislazzuli, alabastras and marbles of various types. The body of the saint, made of Carrara marble, has elongated proportions and flexes following a curved silhouette. What Melchiorre Cafร  implements results in a perfect synthesis between all-round sculpture, bass-relief and painting.

This relief of the Sienese mystic stands in direct relationship to Bernini's Ecstasy of Saint Theresa and would have been unthinkable without it. Cafร  directly established himself through his models and drawings, and even Bernini let it be known that the younger man had overtaken him in his art. Cafร 's sculpture reinvented the aesthetic qualities of Bernini's late style in new terms, thereby establishing a bridge between High and Late Baroque sculpture. This is seen most clearly in the Ecstasy of St Catherine of Siena in the Dominican convent of Santa Caterina da Siena a Magnapoli in Rome.

I listen to most of that discussion, from what I can gather Russell was diving into the Kabbalah and other esoteric thoughts but he also held the heliocentric belief.
I'm becoming far more cynical of the work of people that hold the heliocentric view, this only because if the foundations of the argument are illogical, then its difficult to produce logical outcomes.

I have spent some time looking at his periodic table chart, I didn't realise it was his at the time. Its a fascinating concept, frequency is undoubtably part of world creation, although the periodic table is so problematic, as most of the refinement of elements can't be produced without multiple elements involved in the process, and if electrolysis is used then, elementals like hydrogen and oxygen are said to be produced from the break down of water, which is most probably and element unto itself, rather than a molecule.

I do struggle with anyones claim that they have had an illumination, sure it may happen, it does trigger my inner cynic.

All that being said, I would like to read his material at some stage, but it probably wont be for a while.
