The emerald is formed in the morning, at sunrise, when the sun finds itself securely established in its orbit to travel its own path, when the viridity of the earth and seeds are at their strongest, since at those times the air is still cold and the sun already hot. It is then that the plants energetically suck up the viridity, like a suckling lamb, the heat of the day being just enough to warm up the viridity and nourish them, rendering them fertile and productive. This is why the emerald has the strength to cure all of the weaknesses and illness of man: it is predicted be the sun and all of its substance comes from the viridity of the air.

โ€œIf we were to lose Mary, the world would wholly decay. Virtue would disappear, especially holy purity and virginity, connubial love and fidelity. The mystical river through which Godโ€™s graces flow to us would dry up. The brightest star would disappear from heaven, and darkness would take its place.โ€

~ Pope Saint Pius X
The powers of creation are eternally musical, their mystic cadences swell from star to star with note divine. All nature, seen and unseen, formed and unformed, listens in rapt awe to the endless symphonies of the Great Unknown.

- Manly P. Hall

Parthenogenesis, a reproductive strategy that involves development of a female (rarely a male) gamete (sex cell) without fertilization. Most animals that procreate through parthenogenesis are small invertebrates such as bees, wasps, ants, and aphids, which can alternate between sexual and asexual reproduction.

Parthenogenesis has been observed in more than 80 vertebrates, about half of which are fish or lizards.

The term parthenogenesis is taken from the Greek words parthenos, meaning โ€œvirgin,โ€ and genesis, meaning โ€œorigin.โ€ More than 2,000 total species are thought to reproduce parthenogenically.
