Art installation based on Qamon service 📨

Peti Triot will present the first art installation based on blockchain at the DESIEGO art gallery in Seoul. When creating an art installation, the author uses Qamon technology, a messaging platform operating on the Everscale blockchain.

The Peti Triot art installation is a kind of anonymous messenger where people can leave any message without the possibility of tracking it. This social experiment will reveal the thoughts and opinions of Koreans whose identities will remain completely anonymous.

The installation is now available online, and Ongroo Inc. art content agency will be putting in physical installations in multiple places in Seoul soon. Once a message is sent, it is encrypted and stored on the blockchain. All messages are broadcast in real-time for anyone to see on YouTube, and simultaneously archived on the project’s Twitter.

That Qamon operates on the Everscale network means that it can handle a large volume of transactions, making it suitable for a project that could potentially have to process a high volume of messages.

Qamon: password reset option 🔐

Good news for those who can't remember their password from the Qamon mail service.

In fact, it's possible to set a new password. To do this, go to http://hub.ylide.io and connect your EVER Wallet. When entering a password, you can change it by clicking "forgot password".

However, remember that if you create a new password, you will not be able to read your old messages inside the Qamon service because they will be encrypted. At the same time, recipients will be able to read the messages that you sent them earlier.

Interview with Qamon developers 📬

Earlier we wrote about Qamon — an Everscale-based email service that provides anonymous, secure, cheap and fast message transfer between users.

Nikita Tkach, the Team Lead and Qamon Project Owner, as well as the main members of the project team, gave an in-depth interview to Hackernoon portal.

We have collected the key points for you:

🔵Motivation behind the creation: the creation of such a service was driven by the need to overcome the shortcomings of traditional email services.

🔵Differences from traditional e-mail: Qamon does not use intermediary servers for data transfer, and IPFS is used to store files, which together gives increased privacy, security and resistance to censorship.

🔵Availability: the service is available on a variety of platforms and devices. In addition, the ylide protocol is supported and further integration with Web3 platforms is planned.

🔵Security: Qamon's decentralized nature and encryption make the service resistant to censorship and surveillance. Emails are transmitted encrypted over a distributed network, making it impossible for a single entity to control or censor.

🔵Scalability: using highly scalable blockchains such as Everscale and Venom for email transmission gives excellent scalability and resilience to any network congestion.

🔵Protection against attacks: there is no shared address base in the Qamon ecosystem that is susceptible to spam. A fee is charged for each message sent, preventing malicious messages from being transmitted.

🔵Encryption and authentication: Qamon uses a combination of encryption, blockchain-based storage, key exchange, and cryptographic signatures to ensure email security and authenticity.

🔵Future plans: the service plans to integrate with more decentralized platforms, expand functionality and collaborate with other services to develop secure and decentralized communication.

🔵Cooperation with the government: Qamon's safe, secure and efficient communication can be useful for government communications, so the platform is currently being tested in the administrative structures of individual countries.

🔵Final conclusions: Qamon's unique approach to email services is a testament to the constant innovation in the technology industry.

The use of blockchain, decentralization and cryptography opens up new opportunities to improve the security and privacy of digital communications.
