Features of the Octus Bridge 🌉

Blockchain bridges (cross-chain bridges) are the apps that allow you to move crypto assets from one blockchain network to another.

Octus Bridge is a multi-network, second-layer solution that connects Everscale, Ethereum, Polygon, Fantom, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Milkomeda and Solana blockchains. This is the flagship product of the Broxus team.

Using the bridge interface, which allows to simultaneously connect EVER Wallet and MetaMask wallets, you can quickly transfer assets from a first-layer chain to the Everscale network and back. For example, transactions on the ETH network are quite expensive. You can transfer your asset to the Everscale network and manage it there with minimal transaction fees.

BRIDGE is a governance token. The holders manage solutions on the platform in the DAO format. You can also participate in BRIDGE staking and receive a reward.

Anyone can become a relayer of Octus Bridge. The minimum steak for this is 100,000 BRIDGE tokens.

In September 2022, Octus Bridge became the platform of the month on the Solana website.

Octus Bridge will be temporarily unavailable 🚧

Functionality of the Octus Bridge will be unavailable for up to a day starting from today 11:00 UTC. A scheduled upgrade will take place on the platform, after that the Broxus team promises to share details.

Hurry up to make needed transactions before the break!

Octus Bridge update completed 🌉

The Octus Bridge switched to MultiVaults.

When coins transferred across the bridge they get into the Vaults, and stored there until the coins are minted in another network and go in the opposite direction.

Each EVM network now has a MultiVault. Each MultiVault has the same address across all networks: 0x54c55369a6900731d22eacb0df7c0253cf19dfff

Anyone who has any integrations with Vaults will need to switch to MultiVaults.

Broxus team promises to tell about another new Bridge feature soon.

Stay tuned!

Octus Bridge fees 🌉

Recently we wrote about the Octus Bridge update related to the transition to MultiVaults.

Since all tokens have been switched to one MultiVault, there is a small fee when interacting with EVM networks, which works as follows:

If the token is created in Everscale:
➡️ withdrawal: no fee
⬅️ deposit: with fee

If the token is created in another network:
➡️ withdrawal: with fee
⬅️ deposit: no fee

🔣 The latest bridge update made it possible to pay all fees in the transfer token.

You can refund most of the fee charged for transactions from Everscale to any EVM network — this is available after the transfer is completed. More information on fee refund is available on our website.

Octus Bridge: transfer tokens to other networks 💱

Imagine that you need to transfer tokens from one network to another: for example, USDT from Everscale to BNB. You can't just click «Send» in your wallet. That's what bridges are needed for.

Octus Bridge is a decentralized crosschain «bridge» developed by Broxus. It allows you to transfer tokens from Everscale to Avalanche, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Everscale, Fantom Opera, Polygon, Solana and backwards.

Its benefits are:
• high decentralization
• management via DAO
• transaction speed (~10 min)
• native BRIDGE token availability
• minimal commissions (more details)

Users can view links to the smart contracts used in the exchange.

🗳 In proportion to their shares, BRIDGE owners can vote for determining decisions in the development of the project. It can also be sent to staking. The token is available on FlatQube in the WEVER/BRIDGE pair.

Check out our website for instructions on how to use the asset exchange bridge.

Octus Bridge: new logo and updates 🐙

The Broxus team presented a new logo of its flagship product — the cross-chain bridge between blockchains.

With the new logo comes a new UX/UI improvements and fixes:

🔵To the bridge history filter: added network icons and more tokens to search, fixed the search by tokens

🔵To the transfer page: added the option to delete imported tokens from the token list

🔵Fixed a bug with TVM-2-EVM transfers when users paid for gas with EVER once and then had problems with MetaMask.

Make your product cross-chain 🐙

The Broxus team invites product owners to make their product cross-chain using the Octus Bridge by providing new technical documentation.

For example, if your marketplace accepts payment in USDT, you can implement its multiple versions: TIP-3, ERC20, BEP20 — each of which will be convenient for a part of your customers.

The documentation explains how to integrate the bridge, how TVM📶EVM transfers work, what alien and native tokens are, and much more.

TON Bridge: from TON to ERC20/BEP20 and back 📶

TON Bridge added support for all Ethereum network tokens. Previously, only stablecoins (USDT, USDC, DAI) and WBTC were available for transfer.

At the moment, Bridge offers two bridges from TON: TON-ERC20 and TON-BEP20 — using Metamask wallet. You need also non-custodial wallet for TON (for example, Tonkeeper).

5️⃣ Bridge fees

Using the Bridge will cost at least 5 TON + 0.25% of the amount of transferring coins. For example, if you want to transfer 100 TON, the fee will be 5 TON + 0.25 TON. Please don't forget that you need to have some ETH or BNB (depending on which network you are transferring to) on your Metamask wallet.

Venom crosschain token exchange 🔃

Like the ecosystem of any major blockchain, Venom has its own bridge called Venom Bridge.

It is a simple and practical tool for handling cross-network transactions. Currently, the bridge supports the following networks:

🔷Fantom Opera (FTM)
🔷Venom Testnet (TVENOM)
🔷Binance Smart Chain (ETH, BNB, TUSDT)

In addition, YOSHI is supported — the native token of YoshiExchange, the exchange and the payment system.

➡️ The bridge interface allows you to connect two wallets in different networks, then initiate a new transfer or view the history of transfers made.

💬 Recall, that all Venom products are currently deployed in a test network for testing purposes. The Venom blockchain does not have a mainnet yet, and the VENOM token is not for sale.

Big article about Octus Bridge 🐙

"DeFi is a world where participants can do much things offered to them by traditional financial institutions, only, this time, on their own terms. However, modern 'DeFi' is often associated with platforms that users still have to trust their funds to. If DeFi is truly going to work, the obstacles to interoperability have to be overcome" — noted in the article.

How do blockchain bridges work?
One solution to DeFi's functional compatibility issues is the creation of cross-chain bridges, which allow users to transfer assets from one network to another and back. Octus Bridge is a cross-chain bridge, a DeFi application developed by the Broxus team, one of the core Everscale contributors.

Universal Bridge and Invisible Bridge
The Invisible Bridge technology allows users to make EVM-EVM transfers using only their Metamask wallet. In addition, EVM-TVM transfers and vice versa can be made using only one wallet, either Metamask or EVER Wallet.

Octus Bridge is conceived as a universal solution that will connect all major blockchain networks. Currently, the bridge supports 7 networks: Ethereum, Everscale, BNB Chain, Polygon, Fantom Opera, Avalanche, and Klaytn. Additionally, via Universal Bridge technology, users can use the bridge to transfer almost any asset from any network to Everscale and back.

Relayers and stakers
Relayers focus on transaction validation and synchronization across networks, while stakers engage in token locking within staking contracts to participate in consensus mechanisms. Participation as a bridge relayer requires a minimum stake size of 100,000 BRIDGE tokens.

How to make a cross-chain transfer using Octus Bridge?
There is a detailed guide on the EverKit website.
