๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ด Romanian Armed Forces have started preparing for urban combat scenarios more often than before due to the high amount of urban combat seen in both Ukraine and Gaza wars. In order to be more authentic, some training procedures were carried out right in one of the army bases in Bucharest. Due to the exercise focusing on the tactics employed themselves and being in and around a residential area, the soldiers used airsoft replicas so there would be no risk for civilians since this was not in a firing range, but rather an improvised environment. Additionally there was a focus on the use of ATVs

The location was not made public however it can be identified as the yard of the General Staff of the Land Forces building in Bucharest

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ดThis was the first exercise where the Romanian Armed Forces have publicly used (at least that I know of) small drones for recon inside buildings (simulated buildings for now at least). This is a great leap forward in the modernisation of the army and its tactics and strategy. Not much of it is known publicly and it is widely accepted that the doctrine is too old and needs to be changed. Perhaps the changed is happening, but not in a public manner. The drone support was provided by the 42 Communications and Informational Technology Brigade as per the communique of the Armed Forces
