Why does everyone from the UK hate on the UK so much?

Lived in Scotland my whole life (recently moved to work in London) and had great opportunities, education and lifestyle coming from a very working class house hold. Obv Scotland a bit diff since free uni, but even still surely UK is objectively a great place to live for working/middle class people when comparing to other places.
