So I just came off of a Vipassana 10 day silent meditation course during which there was no speaking or communication of any sort, phones/devices, reading, writing and upwards of 8-10 hours of dedicated meditation practice every day... The perfect opportunity to release all distractions and learn to calm and purify the mind. The technique is so simple, yet so profound in providing tangible results quite quickly, especially when practiced in this diligent manner. One of the most encouraging aspects about the teaching is that every single center offers their 10 day course where you are taught, fed and housed completely for free. They will not even accept donations until after you've completed the first course. This makes it extremely accessible to all and really shows the efficacy of such a modality in that so many are encouraged to give back to creating these beautiful centers all over earth to teach this practice.
