@ukraine_map @NOELreports: To go back to what it was before, the earliest timeline for Ukraine 🇺🇦 getting F-16s was Fall 2023 then US did not allow training to start for many months.

Last month, F-16s were supposed to arrive in July-August, now it’s December 2024. With only 20 pilots after 3 years of war.

@PovilasStan @NOELreports: How about actually giving those Patriot systems or the NASAMS systems so they can defend the air bases. US has 50 Patriots and has only given 1 to Ukraine. Ukraine only has 1 PAC-3 Patriot, Ukraine was pledged 13 NASAMS systems and after 2 years they have received only 4 of 13 systems for the whole country, their delivery has been severely delayed.

How about not waiting 1.5 years to agree to send F-16s, and after agreeing to send F-16s waiting many months before starting training, a massive unnecessary delay. Or how about training for more than 12 pilots at once in the US and 20 for all of NATO. Or when publicly saying that F-16 training is almost fully over in early May, and that deliveries would come in several weeks, in June to August, to now delaying it for over 6 months after training was supposed to end and F-16 were supposed to be in the country.

Or how about instead of sending 20 F-16s that are old, with bad radars, send F-16s with upgraded radars, fully equipped with good weaponry., and train more than 20 pilots for all of NATO. The delays are over a year now, and that is excluding a full training timeline. The earliest training was reported to be completed after F-16s were agreed to was Fall 2023, according to US military estimates and numerous reports from US news outlets. Now they are expected over a year later at the end of 2024. Those are purposeful delays that surpass training.
