The Russian MoD Telegram channel said that the LDNR's 1st and 2nd Army Corps are officially part of the Russian Armed Forces since January 1, 2023, and they are denying claims from Russian war correspondents that LDNR officers will be pushed out.

Sladkov suggested that, although LDNR officers have plenty of combat experience, they will be pushed out because they lack the formal military education or peacetime military experience. He mentions Basurin and says LDNR promotions are based on results. 2/

@songpinganq @chenweihua What do you have to say about your country being a dictatorship?

Oh yeah, that’s right, you can’t answer that question with the truth because you’ll be silenced and thrown in prison

@Flash_news_ua Stop pretending like you know something about future Ukrainian military operations

@guy_ste @Flash_news_ua He doesn't know, he would never get told this information.

Kots says it was inevitable that the system would do this but hoped it would happen after the war. Another Telegram channel says that hundreds of sergeants and praporshchiks who should have been promoted to become officers and are now leading companies. 3/

Starshe Eddy says that Lancet loitering munitions played an important role in helping Russian forces defend the Kreminna-Svatove line by conducting counter-battery missions. He also says tanks, particularly T-90M, played a key role. 110/

Poddubny makes a similar case regarding LDNR officers and says that many of them proved to be better off at the beginning of the war than their Russian military counterparts. 5/

@CasualArtyFan There seems to be a mix. They sometimes can penetrate NATO SPGs and destroy them, but often don't.
Rob Lee (Twitter)

@CasualArtyFan @denintern The issue with loitering munitions is that there is a trade off between cost, penetration, warhead weight, range, strength of its comm link, etc. So these nets will force them to adapt and likely make them more expensive.

@am_misfit If it’s only a $450 million military aid package for the anniversary, and US wouldn’t announce a new one on February 24th, then that would be disappointing

It would be one of the smallest US military aid packages to Ukraine🇺🇦 for months when they need weapons now more than ever
Ukraine Battle Map (Twitter)

@am_misfit They should just give the F-16s, it's just time wasting at this point like they did with the tanks
