Based on their experience conducting offensives in other sectors of the front (for example, last year’s offensives in the Kursk region), the Russians place great hopes on rain and fog, intending to carry out rapid advances with mechanized columns, as such weather complicates the operation of Ukrainian Defense Forces unmanned aerial vehicles

On the temporarily occupied territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, there is active redeployment of military equipment — both by rail and by road under its own power. Personnel ranks are being replenished; in some occupied settlements, more and more new faces among Russian soldiers are being observed. In certain sectors of the front, assault units are being regrouped to strengthen the offensive pressure on the Pokrovsk direction

A key problem for the Ukrainian Defense Forces remains the highly skilled Russian drone operators, who are attempting to disrupt Ukrainian logistics ever deeper in the rear. Increasingly, individual Russian crews are being observed flying FPV drones equipped with multiple types of cameras, capable of quickly switching to the appropriate observation mode depending on visibility and flight conditions. They continue to use “ambushes” in the form of FPV drones, waiting for their target on the ground. They are also increasing the use of “mothership” type aircraft drones, which carry one or more FPV drones deep into the rear of Ukrainian forces, simultaneously serving as a relay for the data from these drones

Significant efforts are being made to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, while simultaneously increasing offensive potential on the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk, having temporarily scaled down attempts to encircle the city from the west

At the same time, they are attempting to create an encirclement of Myrnohrad from the east and establish fire control over the main logistical routes of the Ukrainian Defense Forces leading to Pokrovsk from the north, while also expanding the zone of control toward the settlement of Zolotyi Kolodets

The defense continues; the Russians have failed to achieve all of their objectives. However, they have no intention of stopping and will only continue to build up their forces, aiming for the complete expulsion of Ukrainian troops beyond the borders of the Donetsk region, as well as a deeper advance into the Dnipropetrovsk region
