RT @MuKappa: Russian mainstream media is still figuring out how to spin the Ukrainian advance into Kursk. The Kremlin so far provided little commentary. Much like with Prigozhin's mutiny, it would seem that they didn't plan for this contingency.

Another fluid day in Kursk, where sowing confusion is part of the Ukrainian operational design, working in their favor.

Worth having in mind there's a time-lag, often unknown, on the reports and footage we get.

One just have to accept the uncertainty but momentum is there.
The Lookout (Twitter)

While the purpose of the operation remains unclear, the Ukrainians seem to have allocated significant resources.

The Russian response still appears rather chaotic and it's too early to tell if they pull units from other parts of the frontline.

As of today, I share the view of those who say that this operation, for Ukraine, either turns into a great success or a painful mistake, with little room for a middle ground.

А защита эта достаточно примитивная.

The number of the Russian Armed Forces in Belarus decreased: participants of the parade on July 3 returned to Russia

According to @Hajun_BY, in July, parade teams of the Russian Armed Forces (up to 20 artillery systems), which arrived in Belarus to participate in the parade on July 3, returned to Russia. In other terms, the situation with the Russian military contingent in Belarus hasn’t changed.

The Russian Armed Forces are still stationed in the following locations in Belarus:
• Baranavichy, Mazyr (Bokau) and Ziabrauka airfields – 500-600 people;
• Baranavichy radar station and the 43rd Vileika communication center – up to 1450 people.

Also, the following Russian military law enforcement agencies continue to work in Belarus: the 484th Military Investigation Department (Kletsk district, Minsk region) and the 313th Military Prosecutor’s Office of the garrison (Minsk). The number of personnel involved in these structures could be estimated at dozens of people.

As of August 1, 2024, Belarusian Hajun estimates the number of the Russian military stationed in Belarus at ~2000.

The Ministry of Education of Belarus excluded the Belarusian People’s Republic from the forms of Belarusian statehood

The monitoring team of @iSANS_CEE for education noticed a new instructional and methodological letter, which the Ministry of Education of Belarus publishes annually before the beginning of a new school year. Among other things, the annex for the discipline “History” was published, which lists the changes that have been made in the curriculum.

One of the main innovations on the history of Belarus is the requirement for students to know the main forms of statehood on the territory of Belarus. It includes all forms of the territory of Belarus as part of the Russian Empire and even Litbel. But the Ministry of Education excluded the Belarusian People’s Republic as one of the forms of Belarusian statehood.

According to the Ministry of Education, immediately after the territory of Belarus was a part of the Russian Empire, Belarusian statehood was formalized through the creation of the SSRB.
