RT @KareemRifai: This is a several-year-old video from my family's hometown ALEPPO, not Gaza. This is footage from a hospital being bombed by the Assad regime, with doctors and patients still inside.

You can see where the user cropped the video to obscure the captions. Sinister disinformation.

For the first time, Russian Defense Ministry claimed the interception of US-delivered ATACMS missiles operated by the Ukrainian military.

The Russians said that two such missiles were intercepted by their air defense forces.

RT @MilHistNow: On this day in 1962, U.S. ambassador Adlai Stevenson famously tells the Soviets that he'll wait "until hell freezes over" for an answer about Russian missiles in Cuba.

Russian Defense Ministry published a video of the launch of the Yars ICBM from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, said to be conducted during the ongoing strategic exercise in Russia.

I haven't seen any official Russian sources calling the exercise "Grom". As @krakek1 noticed, it appears to be fairly limited in scope thus far.

The annual "Grom" strategic nuclear exercise under the leadership of Putin is now underway in Russia.

- Russian Defense Minister Shoigu and Chief of the General Staff Gerasimov reported to Putin about the course of the exercise;

- The RS-24 Yars intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Plesetsk cosmodrome at the Kura training ground in Kamchatka, Kremlin said;

- The R-29RMU Sineva ballistic missile was reportedly launched from the K-114 Tula Project 667BDRM Delfin-class nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine (SSBN) in the Barents Sea;

- Two Tupolev Tu-95MS missile carriers/strategic bombers are also said to be participating in the exercise, with launches of their air-launched cruise missiles.

RT @M51_4ever: Yesterday was also rehearsal day of #USNavy Flight test mission-48 (#FTM48) in Hawaii. At least four aircraft could be followed, including 2 EO-tracking HALO.

Test will most probably involved a SRBM/MRBM target launched from Kauai, and an interceptor launched by an #Aegis ship.

@Willmusic4food: They usually hold these in October. The exception was 2021 when it wasn't held and we got the pre-invasion strategic exercise in Feb '22 instead.

@Willmusic4food: The 2019 edition was multi-day with a major naval component, Kalibr and Iskander launches.

@Varsevan: This is an effective way of halting traffic and doesn't directly target neutral merchant ships like anti-ship missiles would.

Shallow depths makes it difficult to do it covertly via submarine so aviation is the best means for laying offensive minefields.

While Barents Sea NOTAMs as expected has been canceled upon completion of the live firing, an update was issued for the Sea of Okhotsk areas earlier today.

It's still active for another hour so there's a possibility we will see a Bulava launch though probably outside of the exercise scenario.

Video from Plesetsk.

Initial impression is that this was a relatively muted affair, same as last fall.

No reports yet of a SS-N-32 Bulava launch from the Sea of Okhotsk which was expected based on NAVWARNs and NOTAMs.
