RT @Osint_NY: Can the pro-Ukrainian crowd please stop using the word "breakthrough" to describe every field, treeline, or trench they seized?
It's an advance, it's good news, it's not a breakthrough.

RT @bopanc: Germany's Chancellor Stalling Long-Range Taurus Missile Delivery to Kyiv.
Largely due to concerns about escalation including: handling of confidential geodata, danger of destroying Crimean bridge & having to dispatch German experts to Ukraine.

Germany Stalling Long-Range Cruise Missile Delivery to Ukraine
Berlin is holding off sending Taurus long-range precision missiles because of concerns they would require German technicians to operate on the ground.

@greygossling @shashj: Agreed that attritional warfare plays to Ukraine's strengths. The problem is that Russia has invested in increasing production capacity and finding ammo from abroad. The West wasn't ready to support a long-term war of attrition and many countries waited to make these investments.

@RALee85 @greygossling @shashj: That is changing, but I'm not sure when the West will be able to provide Ukraine with an advantage in artillery ammunition again as occurred this summer. Air defense missiles are another problem. Hopefully, we can meet Ukraine's needs.
