The sinking of the Moskva is a serious success for Ukraine, but I don't think its loss will play a particularly significant role in this war. An amphibious assault was already out of the question, and it was in need of modernization.

I'm not sure the Moskva's aging air defense systems were the best for countering TB2 as an example. A better question is why Russia kept it so close to the coast when they weren't sure whether Ukraine's Neptuns were still in service. 2/
