The LUKSO team has announced that the Pectra hard fork on the LUKSO mainnet is scheduled for Sep. 17, 2025, at 16:20 UTC. This upgrade integrates Ethereum’s [Pectra] release, which includes changes from the Prague execution layer and the Electra consensus layer. Node operators and validators are required to upgrade their nodes prior to the fork to remain synchronized with the network. The announcement states that failing to upgrade will result in a "node freeze," missed attestations, potential slashing, and the risk of chain divergence.

This upgrade includes the following protocol changes:
Support for EIP-7002 on the consensus layer, allowing partial validator withdrawals without exiting the validator set.
Inclusion of EIP-7251, increasing the maximum effective validator balance from 32 LYX to 2048 LYX.
Compatibility with the Prague execution layer fork, incorporating EIPs 7702, 7549, 2537, 6780, and 4488.
Implementation of EIP-6110, enabling beacon nodes to independently track and process deposit data.
Adoption of EIP-4788, exposing the beacon root to the EVM for on-chain reference to consensus-layer data.

The announcement states these changes ensure "upstream compatibility" with Ethereum and introduce updates to validator operations and execution layer interactions.
