Bridge grant

The Bridge Grants are a way for us to encourage young scientists to look for new scientific collaborations. We provide its awardees with financial support for a short external visit. More precisely, each application for a Bridge Grant must be submitted by two young researchers in complexity science. One of them is a receiving and the second a visiting candidate. The visiting candidate obtains the financial support to travel to the receiving candidate’s institution and work together on a project that addresses a problem in the field of complex systems. We try to limit the bureaucracy to a minimum, so after the visit, we ask only for a report to post on our website and receipts of main expenses. Bridge Grants are nice and simple, so don’t hesitate to apply!

Two fully funded PhD positions (4-years full-time) at Trinity College Dublin, to work on:

- The development of novel statistical methods to analyze complex networks and multidimensional networks (https://lnkd.in/e3sbdwH3). This scholarship is funded by TCD Computer Science and Statistics;

-  The development of novel statistical modelling approaches for dietary patterns analysis and their association with health outcomes (https://lnkd.in/eJ5eRUmp). This project is funded by Research Ireland.

The posts are advertised on the vacancies page of the School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College Dublin: https://lnkd.in/eX7Xme6E (note: PhD stipends have been increased from 22k to 25k euro since the publication of ads).
🚀 Exciting Opportunity for PhD Candidates! 👉 How can data science & AI tackle society’s most pressing challenges—climate change, social justice, democracy, health, and aging?

👉 The pioneering Marie Skłodowska-Curie doctoral network is now recruiting 13 funded PhD fellows from Europe and beyond!

🤔 What is Data2Action? 👉 Funded by Horizon Europe and UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), Data2Action is a unique, multidisciplinary initiative that bridges data science, AI, and social innovation. The program will train the next generation of researchers to ethically and responsibly apply emerging technologies for the common good.

💡 Fellows will:
Work hands-on with leading universities, research institutions, and sectoral experts
Gain multi-disciplinary training in AI, data science, and social impact
Develop real-world solutions in fields such as climate action, health, and democracy
Be part of an international network of experts and changemakers
Receive full funding and supervision from top European institutions

🔎 Who should apply?
They are looking for curious, ambitious researchers eager to make AI and data science meaningful for humanity. No prior PhD required.

📌 Apply now! Find out more about the fellowship positions and eligibility here: www.data2action.eu
Two journals have released data from their own experiments that suggest that offering payments of around US$250 to researchers who review manuscripts speeds up the process, without affecting the quality of reviews.

🚨🚨🚨This year, yrCSS has a special grant for young researchers in low-income countries.

Two possible ways of using it:
1. ✈️Attending conferences, workshops, schools, events in complex systems and they will cover costs up to 2000 euros ( SECS)

2. 🧳Visiting a young researcher! ( BRIDGE)
