Important: revisited timing for Fund4

Dear Community Members,

We have enjoyed exponential growth since launch, becoming the world’s largest decentralized innovation fund. However, there is a challenge with bringing on so many users in such a short time frame.

We want to ensure we can offer a positive voting experience for everyone and improve this with each fresh round. We anticipate significantly higher numbers of registered voters in Fund4. In order to be able to deliver a decent experience at this scale, we need to take some further time to optimize and improve our backend systems before the next round.

We have therefore made the decision to shift the registration and voting process for Fund4 back to give our engineers the time to do this work.

We’re now finalizing the technical analysis and based on this, we’ll share revised timescales at tomorrow’s town hall. We anticipate a period of at least two weeks will be required to complete this work, but we’ll update you tomorrow.

The refinement stage for Fund5 closes this Wednesday the 21st of April at 19:00 UTC.

Dear Community Member,

After generating some incredible proposals and refining them with community feedback, we have now entered the finalization stage for Fund5 proposals.

During this next phase, commenting in Ideascale is disabled. Proposers have now a quiet time to process feedback from the refinement phase and prepare their proposal for the ballot:

👉 Deep listening to feedback
👉 Dive into details - fine tune
👉 Merge proposals for strength
👉 Maybe rewrite everything - totally okay!
👉 Set reasonable budgets and be mindful of funds requested

⚠️ NEW: All proposals now need to complete a self-evaluation checklist via Ideas Submission Form. Click the edit button of your proposal, navigate to the bottom of the page and ensure all check marks are inputted. Proposals that did not complete the self-evaluation checklist may not proceed to the next stage.

Proposals will be locked for any further edits on April 28th at 19:00 UTC.
