Чипы EMV разрабатывались провайдерами банковских карт для хранения данных в интегральных схемах, а не на магнитной полосе. Технология NFC позволяет двум электронным устройствам осуществлять беспроводной обмен информацией.
Согласно разъяснениям продавца, вредоносное ПО использует уязвимость в биткоин-банкомате и позволяет получить эквивалент BTC в размере $6750 в долларах, евро или фунтах стерлингов. По мнению Trend Micro, продавец, вероятно, заработал на продаже данного ПО и других продуктов немало денег, поскольку у него насчитывается более 100 отзывов.
