По данным сайта taproot.watch, 90% из 2016 блоков получили отметку сигнально байта, добавляемого пулами, готовыми приступить к первому этапу софтфорка.
✅Поэтапное обновление позволит избежать ситуации, возникшей в ходе обновления SegWit, которая привела не только к расколу цепи и появлению форка Bitcoin Cash, но и значительной задержке реального внедрения кода нодами сети.
Код Taproot уже содержится в клиенте Bitcoin Core 0.21.1. На втором этапе, проголосовавшие майнеры должны будут начать обновление нод до этой версии. Софтфорк запустится разработчиками в ноябре, при условии внедрения нового клиента на 90%.

The Bitcoin blockchain got all the chances of activating the global Taproot update in November, thanks to the miners' vote on the last difficulty recalculation cycle. According to taproot.watch, 90% of the 2016 blocks received a signal byte mark added by pools ready to start the first phase of the soft fork.
✅The phased update will allow avoiding the situation that arose during the SegWit update, which led not only to the chain split and the emergence of the Bitcoin Cash fork, but also to a significant delay in the actual implementation of the code by the network nodes.
The Taproot code is already included in the Bitcoin Core 0.21.1 client. At the second stage, the miners who have voted will have to start updating the nodes to this version. The soft fork will be launched by developers in November, subject to the introduction of a new client by 90%.
❗️Switching to Taproot will bring Bitcoin to a new technological level. Now the blockchain plays mainly the role of a payment network, but with the introduction of the update, developers will be able to develop smart contracts.
