В субботу, 17 октября, пять крупнейших майнеров Filecoin приостановили работу. У Zhihu Cloud из 8000 установок работало только 276 единиц, у четырех других мощности упали до нуля. Многие другие майнинговые компании предпочитают не увеличивать мощности хранения.
📌Причиной недовольства майнеров стала модель вознаграждения за майнинг, установленная разработчиками проекта. Вознаграждения за блок разблокируются линейно в течение 180 дней, но для майнинга необходимо внести залог в токенах FIL. У майнеров не хватает на это монет.
☝️Покупку для этого FIL на вторичном рынке многие из них считают рискованной, поскольку токен, по их мнению, переоценен.

On Saturday, October 17th, the five largest Filecoin miners suspended operations. Zhihu Cloud had only 276 units out of 8,000 units, while four others had their capacities dropped to zero. Many other mining companies choose not to increase storage capacity.
📌The reason for the dissatisfaction of the miners was the mining reward model established by the project developers. Block rewards are unlocked linearly over 180 days, but mining requires a collateral in FIL tokens. Miners don't have enough coins for this.
