On the eve of the Bitcoin Cash fork, the Hong Kong BitMEX crypto money exchange launched ForkMonitor, a resource for monitoring the status of Bitcoin blockchains and Bitcoin Cash.
💥Fork, even software, is a serious event: something can go wrong and problems start. Well, the problem is better to solve immediately, not postponing. To detect such failures in the BCH and BTC blockchains, ForkMonitor was created.
🔺 “This is a useful tool for monitoring the situation during soft or hard forks,” the project website says. “It will help detect unintended consensus errors that occur during network updates, such as bug CVE-2018-17144.”
🏁 The launch of the service is timed to the Bitcoin Cash hardfork scheduled for November 15, 2018, but the developers report that after its completion, more attention will be paid to monitoring the Bitcoin blockchain.
☝️It is necessary to note that BitMin and some of the ideologists of this project dislike BitMEX. For example, Craig Wright, one of the BCH developers who created the Satoshi Vision protocol, Twitter BitMEX describes it as “a fake Satoshi who after the fork will move to a new blockchain.”

Poloniex announced on Tuesday that it will become the first cryptocurrency exchange, which offered to trade in coins, which will appear in the framework of hard forks Bitcoin Cash (BCH). On the night from Wednesday to Thursday, Poloniex will begin offering buyers the opportunity to purchase Bitcoin Cash ABC (BCHABC) and Bitcoin Cash SV (BCHSV) tokens.
For the first time, Poloniex offered trading pairs for a cryptocurrency asset prior to the implementation of hard forks. The company explains its decision that wants to improve the experience of customer interaction with the exchange. The blog entry states:
“We do this to provide customers with the opportunity to demonstrate their support for coins through trading activities. Poloniex will also support the trading markets for these tokens after hard forks. ”
