BehagerliKids has been selected as one of the 14 projects for the Habesha Creative Lab Incubation & Acceleration Program.

This initiative, part of the Ethio-French Touch, is dedicated to advancing innovation within Ethiopia’s creative industries including animation, video games, AI, AR/VR, and more.

We had the privilege of launching this journey at the Embassy of France in Ethiopia on April 9, alongside a group of truly inspiring and visionary teams.

We just returned from Annecy! 🛬 🧳 Not just as a studio, but as part of something much bigger.

For the first time ever, East Africa had a stand at MIFA; and Behagerlij was proud to represent Ethiopia (through our Creative Director Minasie Terefe) among a powerful lineup of studios from across the region.

Huge thanks to France In Kenya and A3K for organizing this solid East African presence at MIFA. And to the incredible Maurice Chapot 🐸 thank you for going above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. I genuinely appreciated our conversations between the chaos; especially about family and photography. Those moments stayed with me. 😊

We’re also deeply grateful to Valentine Corbel, Alexis Maclet and the Embassy of France in Ethiopia for supporting our participation and helping fast-track the visa process.

Annecy was more than just a festival; it was a moment of solidarity, collaboration, and shared ambition. We didn’t just show up with our work. We showed up with our identity, our voice, our snacks 🥔 😋 and a belief in the stories East Africa has to offer.

To be side by side with artists and studios from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, was a reminder that our industry is young, yes! But it's rising with power and purpose! 💪
