If you’ve just finished up writing an essay or paper and want to read it in a more critical mindset, simply change the font. Make sure it’s the ugliest most awful font you can find. What this does is it forces our brains to look at it from a more critical standpoint. You’ll subconsciously give yourself a completely new perspective on what you just wrote, and can edit things accordingly.
