The Peace Garrison Women in Black of Parma (Northern Italy) is sending its solidarity to Kurdish women.

From the land of greatness of Tolima, land of women that fight for the defence of life and freedom, we want to send greetings to YPJ. We are all YPJ! From Tolima, great land, we support the women's defence unit. We are all YPJ!

As the women's collective from the Northwest region here in Brazil, and since the meeting in Abya Yala, we know that our struggle is one! We join the struggle of the women of Rojava, we reaffirm that it is our natural right to fight in defense of life, in defense of our bodies, and in defense of our territories. The struggle of the women of Rojava is also the struggle of the women of Abya Yala; it is also the struggle of all women who are in their territories, in the peripheries, fighting for the right to life for themselves, their children, and future generations. Therefore, we reaffirm that it is a natural right for women to fight for their territories and for their bodies. We are all in solidarity with the women of Rojava!

🔴 Only the organized participation of women in the army can break its patriarchal and Islamist mentality.

🔴 The government's patriarchal and Islamist mentality is already evident: violence against women is increasing in Syria, especially against Druze, Alawite, and Kurdish women.

🔴 If the YPJ is not accepted, the achievements of the women's movement as a whole will not be accepted.

🔴 The YPJ is currently defending a model for the future of Syria in which women and various religious and ethnic groups have rights, can express themselves freely, and participate in shaping the future.
