The World Economic Forum said an investigation into founder Klaus Schwab found minor expense irregularities but no material wrongdoing. The Davos conference organizer also said it was shuffling the leadership of its board in the wake of the probe.

The board’s interim chairman, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe, a former chief executive of Nestlé, resigned after a meeting of trustees earlier this week to discuss the probe’s conclusions, according to a letter reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. He raised concerns about a “toxic” work environment in his resignation letter, which hasn’t been previously reported.

'The CIA allegedly located the Ark of the Covenant,' Luna said on the Joe Rogan Experience, calling it an 'Indiana Jones moment.'

The documents detail Remote Viewer No. 032, trained to perceive distant objects through psychic means, being given coordinates to observe an unidentified target.

Luna added that she plans to continue the search personally: 'I was like, I need to pay for this myself. So we're not using taxpayer dollars, but just go check it out.'

Ex-Washington Post fact-checker Glenn Kessler conceded on Thursday that he was "completely wrong" to label the COVID-19 lab leak theory "doubtful" in 2020.

In an interview with Kessler, theeditors.com founder Ira Stoll brought up the eroding trust in fact-checkers from conservatives, using the 2020 Washington Post fact check titled "Was the new coronavirus accidentally released from a Wuhan lab? It’s doubtful." as an example.

Kessler defended the work done on the piece by his Fact Checker video team but blamed himself for the backlash for adding the words "it’s doubtful" to the headline. He described being called out by co-author Sarah Cahlan after it was published.

"One of the reporters on the piece came up to me the next day and said, ‘I think you made a real mistake by putting 'it's doubtful' here. Because I'm uncertain where it stands, and you framed it in a way that made it seem more definitive than what we came up with,’" Kessler recalled.

He continued, "That's on me. I screwed up. She recently left the Washington Post to go to another place. In my goodbye remarks, I mentioned, this explains why you should always listen to Sarah, because she's right, and I was completely wrong about this."

Kessler argued that the fact check primarily focused on the claim that the coronavirus was a bioweapon rather than whether the virus came from nature or a lab.

"It's the headline. The piece itself..." Kessler said. "People only remember the headline," Stoll interrupted. "Like I said, that's on me," Kessler replied.

BREAKING: A federal grand jury returned a criminal indictment Friday of New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, capping a years-long corruption investigation that had overshadowed the mayor's second term.

The grand jury handed up charges against the sitting mayor at the Hale Boggs federal building in downtown New Orleans shortly before 1 p.m. Addressing Magistrate Judge Eva J. Dossier, a member of the grand jury identified Cantrell as a defendant against freshly filed charges but did not list the counts she faces or describe the allegations they stemmed from. A copy of the indictment was not immediately available.

Jeffrey Vappie, the mayor's former New Orleans Police Department bodyguard who a federal grand jury accused last summer of wire fraud and false statement counts, was indicted on fresh charges in Friday's indictment.

Former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, R-Calif., has joined the GOP-led effort to fight Gov. Gavin Newsom's, D-Calif., plan to redraw the state's congressional maps to add more Democratic-leaning seats.

Newsom has called for the redraw to combat a similar effort in Texas that is expected to add as many as five GOP-leaning seats ahead of the 2026 midterms. Schwarzenneger confirmed his plans to reenter the political sphere in an X post, saying "I’m getting ready for the gerrymandering battle."

Accompanying the post was an image of the former governor using a chest press machine while wearing a t-shirt that said "f--- the politicians. Terminate gerrymandering."

❗️The Trump administration will be deploying an additional 4,000 Marines from the US military in the waters around Latin America in order to combat the drug cartels, according to a new report from CNN.

Citing two US defense officials, the outlet reported that the move is part of a broader mission to ready military assets to target the drug cartels. A third person familiar with the plans told the outlet that the additional military assets are “aimed at addressing threats to US national security from specially designated narco-terrorist organizations in the region.”

Included in the deployment is the Jima Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, reporting to US Southern Command. The effort has reportedly been underway for the past three weeks.

A P8 Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft, nuclear-powered submarine, multiple destroyers, and a guided-missile cruiser are also being allocated to US Southern Command as part of the effort. One of the officials told the outlet that the buildup of the military assets is meant to show the force of the US military rather than the targeting of the cartels.
