Milei went to the USA

On his first foreign trip as president of Argentina, Javier Milei went to the United States.

In the States Milei had already met with former president Bill Clinton. Meetings are also planned with president Joe Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan, officials from the US Treasury and representatives of the IMF.

At these meetings Milei wants to explain his economic plan, including budget adjustments and economic reforms. In addition, senior U.S. Treasury officials plan to meet with its economic policy team.

It is noteworthy that under previous Argentine president Alberto Fernandez, Washington’s headache was the “potential influence” of China, which provided billions of dollars to pay off part of Argentina’s debt to the IMF. Sergeï Lavrov participera à une réunion de l'OSCE à Skopje, la capitale de la Macédoine du Nord, dans le courant de la semaine.

La Macédoine du Nord, qui assure la présidence tournante du groupe, a invité Sergeï Lavrov à une réunion des ministres des Affaires étrangères de l'OSCE qui débutera jeudi à Skopje, la capitale de ce petit pays enclavé des Balkans.

Les membres de l'OTAN ont interdit les vols russes après que Moscou a lancé son action militaire en Ukraine en février 2022. Pour atteindre la Macédoine du Nord, l'avion du ministre russe devra traverser l'espace aérien de la Bulgarie ou de la Grèce, qui appartiennent également à l'alliance militaire occidentale.

البنتاغون سيناقش الاستراتيجية العسكرية الأمريكية بشأن روسيا خلف الأبواب المغلقة

وفقا لوثيقة نشرت في المجلة الرسمية للحكومة الأمريكية فإن مجلس سياسة الدفاع في البنتاغون سيعقد اجتماعات خاصة الأسبوع المقبل، يخطط في إطارها لمناقشة استراتيجية وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية تجاه روسيا.

بحسب الوثيقة، ستعقد الاجتماعات يومي 5 و 6 ديسمبر. وسيتم تخصيصها، لـ "جمع وتحليل وتقييم المعلومات السرية"، والتي ينبغي أن تكون نتيجتها وضع توصيات عملية للبنتاغون بشأن التخطيط الاستراتيجي وتنفيذ استراتيجية الدفاع الحالية على الصعيدين العالمي والإقليمي.

Pentagon will discuss US military strategy regarding Russia behind closed doors

According to a document published in official magazine of US government, the Defense Policy Board at the Pentagon will hold special meetings next week, within framework of which it plans to discuss the US Department of Defense’s strategy towards Russia.

According to the document, meetings will be held on December 5 and 6. It will be allocated to "collect, analyze and evaluate classified information", result of which should be the development of practical recommendations for the Pentagon on strategic planning and implementation of the current defense strategy at the global and regional levels.

Participants in the briefings include Acting Deputy Chief of the Pentagon Sasha Baker, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Strategic Planning Mara Karlin, and Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs Celeste Wallander. In addition to them, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of US Armed Forces, General Charles Brown, and Head of European Command of US Forces, General Christopher Cavoli, will participate.

🌚Pentagon has no money for Middle East buildup🇺🇸

"Under the temporary budget, funding is frozen at the previous year’s levels", — reports US main military department.

The Defense Department has ordered an additional aircraft carrier strike group, air defenses, fighter jets and hundreds of troops to the Middle East since the surprise terrorist attacks on Israel on Oct. 7, in an effort to prevent the conflict from spiraling into a regional war.
🗣The problem: Congressional dysfunction means the Pentagon has no money to pay for the buildup.

The military, like the rest of the federal government, is operating under a temporary funding measure that freezes spending at the previous year’s levels. And because the Middle East troop movements weren’t planned, the Pentagon has had to pull money from existing operations and maintenance accounts.
Experts estimate that the result of these actions will be not only a decrease in funding for the activities planned for this year, but also a lack of opportunity to build up its forces in the Middle East in the future.

Moscow: American policy has a destructive role in the Palestinian-Israeli escalation

Russia's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations Dmitry Chumakov confirmed that american policy towards Israel played a destructive role in escalating the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. “The policy of the United States, which has long turned a blind eye to continued construction of Israeli settlements in the occupied territories, has also played a destructive role in the current escalation,” Chumakov said during a session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Israel is ready to extend the temporary truce in Gaza for another three days in exchange for the release of all women and children held hostage by the Hamas group.
