☀️ India's Solar Module Manufacturing Reaches 100 GW Under ALMM Framework

India’s solar manufacturing capacity has reached 100 GW under the ALMM framework, up from just 2.3 GW in 2014. This milestone highlights the country’s push toward self-reliance and clean energy growth.

Key enablers include the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme, ALMM policy framework, and customs duty measures, which boosted domestic production, reduced imports, and created thousands of jobs. High-efficiency solar modules are now being produced at scale, strengthening the domestic value chain and energy security.

Solar energy now accounts for 47% of India’s renewable capacity, positioning the country as a rising global player in solar manufacturing.
